Mothers do majority of childcare and housekeeping and in many cases, also contribute financially. There is no industry or organisation you don't find women working in today. That is outside of petty jobs like trading and hairdressing and tailoring, etc women also do. I don't know where the idea that women don't contribute financially came from.

In religious books both Bible and Quran, men are told to provide while women submit and obey, I don't know why women are being demonized today for not providing like men when religious and societal laws set standards a lot of people live by.

Its not possible to turn the minds of children against a father.
The father himself must have shown the children he isn't worthy to be called a father.
Adult children old enough to send money to their parents are definitely not stupid when they decide to send money home to a particular parent.
If your children do not trust you as a parent or turn their backs on you, search yourself and self reflect.
Were you a toxic parent to them?
Were you emotionally unavailable when they needed your guidance?
Where are the so called fathers of all these cult boys, Yahoo boys, runs girls and prostitutes in the society?
Is zaddy also carrying runs girls about, same age as his daughter and abandoning the children at home to be cared for by their mothers who is struggling to feed and educate them?
These children don't have fond memories of their fathers. All they see is the abuse and toxicity, so why bother?
You can't poison the mind of a child against a parent who takes his/her responsibility seriously towards a child by providing the physical, emotional, spiritual needs of the said child.
Many forget parenting is a privilege.

Infact, this present Nigeria where more than half the population live in poverty, fathers are not bringing Jack in.
Growing up, I didn't really know any housewife. All the neighbors, aunties had something doing as teachers, business women and professionals.
Now I'm old myself, I personally only know 1 housewife.
At the work place, half of my collegues are females or even more than half if I include the admin staff.
I'm not seeing these men that go out early and come back late providing all their family needs without their wives also going out early to being food to the table o.

I would really like to know people who had mums that were housewives sha, because thinking back I really can't remember families that had stay at home mums even back in the day.
Many women get back into the workforce once they finish having children. .
They're mainly only stay at homes moms when the kids are toddlers, and once those kids are old enough to enter school, they find something doing.
Some just enjoy a few weeks of maternity leave and get back to work immediately sef, putting kids still breastfeeding in day care. You see their blouses stained at work because they're still lactating milk.
My aunt in her 70s said they only had 2 weeks of maternity leave then, when she was working as a young woman.
They always have one excuse to close early so they can go pick up their children from school, or they come in late to work because they went to drop off kids in school or even don't come to work because a child is ill.
You hardly see the men taking excuses from work for the sake of their children because they leave it for their working wives to sort out however she wants to sort it out.
