it's worse when one doesn't know the value he has (youth) because he has always had it since birth. You usually don't appreciate what you have until you loose it. And where the tragedy lies is that unlike cash, its irrecoverable. Its gone.

Furthermore, all the steps one didn't take earlier on will suddenly come home to roost, slowing him down from transitioning into the next phase of his life. For example If he doesnt have money due to lack of education, it would delay his plans for marriage.

And it compounds. Parents are getting older, and he is no self-sufficient, talk more of subsisting someone else. One of the noble gift everyone owe their parent is the gift of freedom. You must make them free from taking care of you, and even better, to take care of them if need be.

Its a tragedy to watch parents grow old with the fear that they won't live their old age with dignity, to rest, and be released from the hustle and tussle of raising a child because they wasted time and resource raising unproductive child.

Don't do the 50push ups at a go, but maybe 10x10, 20x5, just break it down to pieces.

I have a habit of running everyday, except weekends which are for recovery. Attached below was what I did today, 4km run at the park and of course calisthenics in between, 10x8 reps of chin up.

It's not actually pain, its muscle breakage. Repeat it again another day despite the pain lol, that's how you get over it. Pain is part of the process. I personally feel pain everyday, unless I take a break.

But what you'll get despite the pain are physical strength, strong muscle and breathe resilience, assurance, and calm. I hope that day never comes, but you'll bless how strong youve become when you have to fight and save yourself.

I am done watching it, and to some extent, I am quite disappointed by the general theme of their discussion which is centered around ''China bad, west good''. They see others through their western lens which is heavily biased and subjective. They focus more on the ''outcome'' of things, not the ''why'' of it.

I think JBP should just focus on psychology, he is doing really badly at political discourse. And his over-usage of profanity and anger toward things he disagrees with just kinda reduces the esteem I hold him in. Let me know what you think and we can discuss it. There is more I have to say, but I start with this on first.

I watched that episode twice, probably they are just paranoid, but they are not alone in voicing out the conspiracy theory of "The great reset" pushed by World Economic Forum which was the main issue discussed, and how farmers are protesting in the Netherlands due to the nonsensical climate change policies the globalist elite from the WEF are shoving down the throat of nations under their whim.

I don't think JBP is a "west good" preacher, persin weh twitter suspend abi ban for taking a stand.

I read a tweet days back, how Ukraine a country at war still exports grain and wheat, while Nigeria with vast arable land depends on Ukraine's export.

It got me thinking if ordinary local farmers are afraid to go to their farms in Nigeria for fear of abduction and even being killed by terrorist, and the farmers from the country known as the 2nd largest exporter of agricultural products are protesting against their authoritarian government.

It looks like in the coming years if Nigerians don't gets their acts right and put the right leaders in power who are proactive long term planners and have the common man's welfare at heart, in touch with what's happening on the global stage and can connect the dots on how it will affects third world nations, its more gloomy-doomy economically.

A basic principle of eating for functionality, training intentionally, and consistency. Keep it simple. Your body is a machine, and it respond to the real world depends on how you take care of it.

Eating for functionality means that i see food not as pleasure, but as a fuel, that weaponize my body. So you'll have to train your body to love foods that are healthy for you, and hate those that are not.

Personally I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or even drink cola. I drink them once in a while especially on holiday where I let myself loose, but by default, I eat real foods that grow from the ground, not processed.

So no fries, burger, pizza, biscuits, ice cream, but beans, boiled eggs, groundnuts, tubers, and animal products. Infact you should eat more animals products, than vegetables. Google "lion diet", and eat mostly like that.

As per training intentionally, you train progressively, meaning that you should have a goal. And work towards it with consistency. When I started running for example, I can't even run a km without gasping for breathe, but I can do that now easily non stop, and even faster.

The snapshot below was my usual short morning run yesterday, check the stats, a seasoned runner will know that it's an impressive result. If you can run 4km in 19 mins non stop, you're good. And hey, it takes me at least three years from zero to this level. So its not plug and play.

Haha, tweeter ban doesn't change that fact. By "west good, China bad", I meant it in the sense that they see China through a democratic lense, with no understanding how far the country has come. Let me make this clear, China is a civilisation masked as a country. Even the word "nation", doesn't exist in Chinese language, its a modern concept.

China has been through hell in the hands of the west, and the Japanese. So the "museum propaganda" things (I forgot exactly how he coined it), can be understood if one knows China's history. Those that forgot their history are bound to repeat it, and I think this is China's method of making sure the future generation remember and not let it happen again.

Ever heard of the "hundred years of humiliation"? "The looting of summer Palace"? China history and stuggles is so big I can't contain them all here in a post. To be clear, I don't think they meant bad, but even as intellectual as they are, their judgment is limited due to their lack of depth of China as a civilisation.

The average Nigerian don't even see the white man as the root cause of their sorrows, they don't even know they are still in the handcuffs their ancestors fought to free them from. They see international organisation such as wto, ICC, IMF, UN etc as their friend in justice, when these very institution exist to oppress you in the first place.

How can such people free themselves them? And to make them happy, give few scholarships, their musicians Grammy award, and allow them on your shows, then see black folks becomes so happy like a freed slave. So Pathetic. Remember the hype of black panther ? How black Americans are so happy and feeling like heaven, Jesus Christ grin

As per the third world country, those are lost cause. Locked in chains and can't do anything. They will be the worse hit of anything those on top does, and they can't negotiate the conditions of their existence. That's how bad it is. How can war from two countries we share nothing with have an effect on our belly? Did Biafran war disturbed Russians food supply?

Bros, it was about eleven years ago my eyes got open on this fraudulent system, I was depressed then, like a redpill rage, how this injustice can go on for so long, but I'm over that. Now I accept the rhythm of life even if it's so unfair, because morality is a creation of the human mind. Look at the world and nature around you, its survival of the fittest and the strong create rules for the weak to follow.

So if we make ourself weak by being corrupt and stupid, then few may win in an individual level, they will be wealthy materially in the bad system, but in the grand scheme of things, youre weak. As Dangote take be billionaire, it takes the US nothing to seize his wealth, and there is nothing he or Nigerian government can do about it. Money is money. Power is power. They are different.

I appreciate you Sir Pansophist. You're a rare gem. Quick one please, anything I try to do an intense workout that's like this pushups 15×4 squats 20x4 abdominal crunch 15x3 I usually experience stomach ache which tend to stop after few minutes of rest.

As a matter of fact, it's been like this since my days of playing football. I usually don't play for more than 40 minutes straight and I'm sure it'll be like that if ever try to run so I want to know if this something peculiar with workout enthusiasts which one grow past as he trains harder by the day. I'm in my middle 20s btw.

@ the bold paragraph is reason I have zero trust for all of them China or the West, its a "the strong take home all" jungle world we are living.

We should learn from Sri Lanka, while we continue to self develop and live below our means.

But you have to give JBP his flowers for his fight against woke and leftist agenda.

Do you have skipping rope? If not, go and buy one. Less than 5k from Jumia last time I checked.

So jump 50 times, then 5 push ups, x10. So a total of 500 jumps and 50 push ups. If this becomes easy, increase the pace, reps and intensity cool

If you hate to run (Especially due to Nigerian bad roads, lack of parks and safety), then rope jump is an equal alternative. It recruits all the muscles in your lower body, and build endurance.

Are you in? Will you do it?

This is true, and there are lots of examples to support it. I'll list a few.

For example, the Nigerian communities in the west especially the US are known as the most educated and amongst the wealthiest groups, but this data glossed over one important part, and it is that the Nigerians in question are first generation immigrants.

Those ones that are called "fresh off the boat", or "booty scratchers" lol. These sets were hungry for success, calling up all the strength in them since they are faced with impending challenges such as permanent legal residency, finances, integration, establishment and so forth.

But after they've overcome these hurdles and started having kids who didn't face such challenges, their kids who are privileged just became regular Americans without the drive, hunger for success and ambitions their precedents had.

Furthermore, your point is supported by the widely recognised book that explains the states of most regions in the world titled "Gun, Germ and Steel" by Jared Diamond. The author posits that geographical realities are the basis for the evolution of human societies. The more deprived the societies are, the more likely they will be successful since they won't rely on nature, but on their ingenuity to thrive.

And if you observe our world today, this is self-evident. The global north is the most developed (Europe, North America aka the west), while the global south is not ( aka Africa, South America) . You can literally eat an orange and throw the seed on the floor, come back in a year and you have an orange tree in many places in the global south.

The warm weather, abundance of resources necessary to thrive, and relatively low population (pre 1900s) made it unnecessary for exploration in the global south, which made us content and coexist with nature. Also you'll observe that Europeans enslaved Africans in plantations such as Brazil, then ship all the produce to Europe. The South is naturally rich, simple.

This is not the same for Europe. In winter for example, the weather will kill you if you do not have shelter. Lots of homeless people are frozen to death during the peak of winter and it's not news. You may be broke in Europe for example, but you can hardly be homeless. Homeless shelter are everywhere for you to crash.

So yes, I actually agree with you. If Africa wants to get it right, we simply can not ignore the realities of geographical limitation, and build from there.

I enjoyed reading this! Looking forward to more threads from you.
