Good morning everyone ,
I’m new here and just about getting started . I need clarification from the gurus in the house with my work experience . I have a total of 3 yrs work experience in all however my first work experience was for 9 months then I went back to school to get a PhD for another 4yrs , after my PhD I started work for another 2 yrs and 3 months ,all work experience is in the same NOC code . Can I claim 3 yrs work experience with this ? Does the long break for my PhD affect anything ?
Thank you

Hi Guys,
This might be unrelated but I need the input of the gurus in the house. My sister is 45 with a son and she’s planning on relocating to Canada.
What will be the best and the easiest route for her?
Kindly assist please.

PNP or study route...

Good morning my counsellors,
I will need your advise on this issue:
I have a Canada tourist visa 10years ago and at the moment, my PR application is at IRCC waiting for RFV. I called IRCC office yesterday and the agent mentioned my old address of 10 years ago together with my recent address I used in my PR application.
Is there any need for concern. sud I raise a webform to let them know that I don't live in that old address again. Moreover, I didn't include the old address in my PR application.
Help your man oooo. Thanks

Update address via webform but if they have the address on the system, don't worry too much. everything will come to you via email notification

Feeling distraught right now.My wife is our PA for Express Entry. Her IELTS score just came in Band 8 at L8.5 R8.5 W6.5 S7.5.Missed the golden score by a 0.5. I will create our profile today but what do you guys suggest?
To go in for a remark or register for a new test? The only available test dates in my area are Oct 4th and 18th CBT.Our score is at about 472 with this score.
She already took TEF and our ECAs completed.

Good morning everyone, Please i need clarification on IQAS evaluation.
While trying to fill my IQAS application online for ECA on https://iqas.labour.alberta.ca website, when I select my university name from the 'Name of the Institution' drop-down list, it shows me this warning message -

"Conditional Institution Status If you apply to IQAS with credentials from this institution, they may or may not be assessed. There are specific conditions regarding recognition of this institution and its programs, and there are validity and/or verification measures that will affect whether or not IQAS can issue an assessment."

1. Is anyone else facing this issue? Can you please help and share your experience whether your degree was successfully assessed by IQAS in this condition or not?
2. Apart from IQAS is there any other evaluation institution that can evaluate my Bachelor of law as a professional degree?
Thank you.

Guys this PCC is getting me worried o.

Mine has finger prints on it. Apparently it's the old type.
It was done on the 6th of this month..I didn't visit alagbon. I had to pay an officer to help with it..

How do I confirm the genuity please. I have seen another new type which is the new type I heard. Please does this 2 types of PCC suffice?

Just not sure if IRCC has now defaulted to this recent type.

Apply for remark, choose all the sections...nothing to lose unless she thinks she didn't write well enough

Better to do the new electronic one that can be easily verified on police portal to avoid stories that touch. I once got the old one before IRCC requested for an update PCC. I had to cough out 40k and once done, you can verify at possap. IRCC will even require that you enter those details which are not on the old one

The old one is definitely still in circulation. Don't spread false panic

All you need is the document number on the pcc and the scanned copy for upload

Hi guys,I have an issue.
So today,I submitted our EE profile with wife as PA.
With IELTS LRWS 8.5/8.5.6.5/7.5. We have a CRS of 472.She is a secondary school teacher with 3 academic school years of work experience. She started teacher in October 2019 and has clocked over 1800hrs teaching. She had only 13points for Foreign Work Experience on her EE profile instead of 25.What is the problem?
Also she had 118 in IELTS CRS points. Is remarking/ retaking IELTS with minimum 7 in writing going to substantially increase our scores?

use the CRS tool to crosscheck what may or may not have been added/subtracted.

Emphasis on “quick”

Your responses will be appreciated.

Good day House,

I am completing my EE profile and need a quick clarification on work experience. My husband worked at a particular company for 7 continuous years but was getting promoted every year and even though the NOC code is the same, he crossed into management bucket like 2 years ago. Do I need to separate the experience or can I lump it together and indicate his most recent title as the job title?

Also, he’s currently in a job that has another NOC code at a separate company but he’s not spent up to 1 year there. Can I include this current job as well?

Kindly advise, thank you.

Pls study page 1.

Especially the section on IELTS tables and the section on CRS grid (not calculator). She got a CLB 8 in IELTS Writing, that's the problem. You sef don talk am say she miss 7 by 0.5.....(7.5 CLB 10 is the golden score in Writing btw, 7 in Writing is only CLB 9)...all this and more on page 1 links. Remark and also plan to rewrite in case the remark does not change things.

Study that CRS grid, it's the key to seeing CRS points that you are leaving on the table.

CLB7 in all 4 for TEF should give her at least 62 points as well.

Also may be possible that the October 2019 to September 2022 WE is not counting as 3 years yet.

If he is the PA and you are 100% sure that the NOC is the same, it doesn't matter if you separate the experience or put them together IMO. If he crossed into management though, I would expect his NOC to change to one that starts with 0.......but maybe this is sector dependent.

If he is not the PA, he doesn't need to list his non-canadian work experience in work history because it gets him zero CRS points. Instead update it in personal history post ITA, IMO.

Include all work history contributing to CRS in work section and all other work and non-work history in personal history.
