There's no state capital that does not have commercial activity,
except you don't understand the meaning of commercial activity.

There are commercial activities even in the remotest villages,
As far as there people buying and selling things there.

Ttalk:
Tell me any state capital apart from Ikeja, Ibadan, PH, Kaduna, Kano, Onitsha, and very few others that have commercial activity

there is no brown roof shotput slinging capital that can compare to any Eastern capital not even aba.....except no man's land dominated and almost colonised by igbos
you should have colonised your Eastern capital instead of running to no man's land!

Oga , I am currently living in Minna so I know what I am saying. If not for the University of Technology , Minna , the town would be worse than a hamlet . In fact, Zungeru is more developed that this rubbish town called Minna ...only Bida self can compete with Minna and may even win.
I think you're not sure of what you're saying. And despite the fact that several posters have corrected you, you're still bent on carrying on.

Have you been to Gusau, Jalingo, Birnin Kebbi, Yenegoa, Abakaliki, or Lokoja?

If you haven't traveled to these capitals, and if you're being sincere with yourself, you can't honestly call Minna the worst capital in Nigeria and continue to argue it blindly.

Minna is a small town: fact. Minna does not have commercial activities: fact. But Minna has some of the best city roads and drainage systems. Minna streets are almost always lighted. Minna has supermarkets, lounges and sporting centres and hangout spots. Minna is a clean city. Of course you can't compare the number of the things I mentioned with other big cities, but Minna is definitely not the worst capital in Nigeria. It's not even among the worst.

That a state capital is small and does not have an abundance of commercial activities does not make it the worst.

That's not correct. Dutse is far finer than many state capitals like Jalingo, Lokoja, Gusau, Abakaliki, Ekiti etc. Oga go and travel far and wide before you give answers laidis
Oga stop deceiving yourself!!!.

Which dutse?
Same dusty duste without any jaw dropping infrastructural structure beating Abakaliki?
You're a joke..

Try de travel baba

You keep mentioning "Minna , Minna, Minna, " without point those places where this imaginary talk of yours keeps originating from. That goes to show that in theory , you know absolutely nothing about the state or even its capital.

Seocndly, I do not think you have been to Minna, because if you had , you would know that Minna is not a "small state capital", and there is plenty of underdeveloped land within that so called "small state " capital.

Yes Minna, may not be the worst state capital in Nigeria , but it should be among the the top three dead-zones in Nigeria. And that is even a fact that a lot of people here will agree to

I ignored the guy because of his childish sentiment. The guy is childish. If minna is bad then obviously every state capital in the North is bad excluding kano and maybe Kaduna.

Minna is at per with Kaduna at the level of development. What I think the state lacks is good leadership. Because no one will compare a hardworking governor like elrufai to that incompetent Niger state governor.

If you tell me that there isn't enough commercial activities going on in Minna compare to kaduna/kano that's when I won't even argue with you.

When I want some quiet time, Minna or Ilorin are the places I usually go just because of the peaceful scenery.
minna with Kaduna...e be like say u no well...only Lagos and kano ahead of Kaduna!

You will think the development of FCT will rub on its neighbouring states like Lagos is rubbing on Ogun and Ibadan. You see Lokoja, Nasarawa, Minna OMG, nothing to write home about.

I'm not sure you know what you are talking about.

Amongst others, may I let you know that people in Abakaliki enjoy an average of 23hrs Power supply daily?
Did you know that Abakaliki is one of the nearest and most organised state capital in Nigeria?

Lokoja comes first by a mile

I’m an indigene of Kogi state and I reside in Lokoja, I grew up in delta(Efurun), did secondary school in Zaria, University in Minna, IT at Sokoto, Nysc at Calabar, now masters at Bayero University, Kano, I have traveled almost round Nigeria, less than 10 states that I haven’t passed through... Lokoja is the worst state Capital

I have been to 17 state capitals and Lokoja is surely the worst.

Poor development and the atmosphere is naturally UGLY and unconducive.
Apart from portharcot it seems everywhere else is hell on earth. Most state capitol has some terrible places

You are dreaming and hallucinating at the same time. Minna has no bloody commercial activity to even call it a state capital let alone have the infrastructure to be considered as one. If not for FUT-Minna and the college of education, that town will be no better than a forest region surrounded by wildlife
That guy is a clown. It is cuz of the university that the place even a bit lively. Minna is the most boring capital in Nigeria

Lokoja looks like a local government headquarters. From Ganaja to Felele through Ibrahim Taiwo is just a slum town. Half of the residents don't have toilets in their houses and they make use of River Niger for defecation.

The town can be very hot too with extreme humidity. I lived there in 2011 during my service year and it felt like hell. Mount Patti was the only nice thing about the town.
Lived at lokogoma too in my service year 2014, omoh lokoja is freaking hot. I only enjoyed that town on Saturday mornings at the legendary mount patti. Kabawa street just by the road side beside river niger(where the hausas live in lokoja) is the worst slum on planet earth.

What are the first two largest towns in Edo state..i personally belive Uromi is more developed than Ekpoma. Or I’m I wrong
The first two largest towns in Edo state are Benin and Auchi. You are not wrong but in terms of size, Ekpoma is bigger. In terms of development, Benin, Auchi, Uromi will beat Lokoja hands down, you can't even compare them, that's why I did not use them for the analysis
