Gptech please my TEC Optima just dropped voltage to 150 even without any load. The frequency is still around the normal 50-52hz.

No. Engine sound remains the same.
Only the bulb lights very unstable.

Clean or change spark plug first.

Your AVR is likely the issue, take it to their service center as advised since it's still new.

That's something called 'governor' inside the engine...it is also an issue in the regulation of your current... It also affect the sound of your engine..

But if you are sure that your AVR is not the problem...check the governor

Avoid this gen. Go for tec junior. Although, it is on the high side now.

The question sounds absurd..

But in changing a new oil...follow the following steps..

1. Loosen the cap where you use to pour in new oil.. we have two caps (although they are of the same purposes.) There is one at the back below the top position and another at the front below the starter coil.

2. Bend the generator to flush out the old oil..but it is advisable to keep the generator running for some hours inorder to heat up the engine to enable the old oil flush out easily and completely.

3. The same place after the whole old oil must have been drained out...pour in your new oil but be mindful of the required gauge.

But from your question..if you noticed oil coming out when pouring new oil..it might not be the old oil but the new oil mixed with some particles of the old oil.. it indicates that you have pour in excess oil which you need to reduce it.

It is connected to that place where you use screw driver to high or low the engine.

If the device is bad (it is called governor by local technicians but don't know if that is the correct spelling)..the sound of the generator will be so high and any attempt to lower the engine will be unsuccessful.

It is rooted inside the engine and I learnt that it is not in new parts if you want to replace yours ..you only get it via used engines.

It will also affect the current regulation of your engine which will make you think that the AVR or Coil is bad because if the governor is bad maybe if it is on the low side... increasing the engine current to give a better current will be impossible hence you will thinking that it is the fault of the AVR.

Switched it on days ago,switched on but went out.
Tried switching it on again and it fired from the exhaust and I left it alone.
Please should I be worried or just go service it?
