Hi everyone, great job here.
Please, I need help:

1. Can my legalization/authentication and everything else be done at the consulate in Lagos instead of Abuja?

2. Am I supposed to legalize and authenticate before applying or after gaining admission

3. Which account can I use to show my family’s low income? Mine or my parent’s?

4. Is getting a job in Italy as a student feasible?

5. For graduate studies, can I go with a dependent (partner)?

Please I need answer to this question it's urgent, can Agent secure Italian student visa for someone who's academic drop out?with a provision of forged uni certificate with valid authenticate note at the back.
Has anyone ever succeed making his/her way to Italy with this procedure?
That is a tricky one.
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dogeatdog: 6:59pm On Sep 19, 2022
1. No, authentication must be done at the MoE and MoFA in Abuja.
2. Whichever you want. The best practice is to do that if/when you are sure of admission in any Eu university or when you just got the admission, be it in Italy or others.
3. If you are living with yr parents then it's theirs, if alone then must be yours.
4. Yes, but 20hr per week job as required by Italian immigration.
5. Yes, after you must have arrived, they can come to join you via a family reunion visa.

Thank you so much bro.
As a self sponsor, please how long does the POF have to stay in my account for it to be valid? For instance, you know UK requires the POF to be there for at least 28days

Also, can the money be sent in all at once or it has to be sent in but by bit

Lastly, for the regional scholarship, any idea how I can do the documents for my family ISEE? I know I have to show statement of account for 2 years but how do I do the declaration of assets and all that to prove family income?

Please I need someone to assist me on this:

I was recently offered a scholarship in Italy that covers my tuition fees.

I've been asked to obtain Dichiarazione di Valore (Declaration of Value; DoV) from the Italian Consulate in Lagos.

My problem is, due to ASUU/NASU stike, I'm yet to collect my Original Degree Certificate. I only have my Academic Transcript and Statement of Result.

I know the Consulate only accept Degree Certificate and Transcript to issue DoV?

Please guys what do you suggest I do?

Hi, congratulations, did you make it there?

Also, I’ll like to ask, which scholarship did you receive please? Did you still have to show your POF despite the scholarship? If yes, how much did you show please?

If you don’t mind, I’d like to send you an email, I just need clarification on a lot of things I’ve been reading up on

Kindly drop your email address please?

MelaninQueen:

Your POF must be in your acct for 6 months and the money cannot be sent once, send it bits by bit so that you can build a history of transactions with the acct.
For regional scholarship, I honestly don't know how you can get the docs.

Hello, please I have interest in studying in Italy.
I came across this thread and have tried reading it up to 2012 but I have not found solid information on the requirements for a bachelor's degree.

I see information for people going for master's programs.
Please I like to know the requirements and documents needed to be arranged for a bachelor's program mostly for the visa process

So basically this year is an exceptional one for visa application at the Italian Consulate or Embassy in Abuja.
I made my application on the 15th sept and a friend of mine made hers on the 22nd. She got a pre-rejection response 5 working days later and I got mine 3 days after she got hers. She submitted more documents and within a week she got the visa.
Mine after submitting the missing documents, 4 working days later still no response.
Mind you, I submitted mine in Abuja where the appointment dates are not choked while she did hers in Lagos.
So today at 9 am I sent them an email as a follow up since they were supposed to send an acknowledgment email that they have seen my documents but didn’t. After I did, they sent the acknowledgment.
What i understand is that, people applying are very plenty this year and I don’t blame them, they are overwhelmed. So I’ll advise you plan and submit early, and also be patient. Whatever the outcome, plan early and be patient.

I dont really know why the delay is this long, i did my visa application since on the 31st of August and i got a call from the embassy last month asking me to submit a co-operate statement of account or salaried account of my sponsor which i later did.. And up till today i have not received any message or what so ever from them going to almost two months now i never envisage for once that italian student visa takes this long before they are approved... Funny enoug my school university of perugia already started classes since september 26...
This their pattern can be really frustrating i don tire to wait i just one know the outcome
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dogeatdog: 9:50pm On Oct 22, 2022
My dear, just wait that's what I will say to you.
I did mine on the 22nd of Sept and one week later, they sent me a pre-rejection that my acct isn't enough. I sent them proof of property and till now nothing. A lady that we are going to the same uni, received her pre-rejection like 3 days before mine and she responded with another acct statement and a week later she got her visa. She travelled like a week ago now and for me nothing. I have become anxious to the point that I am just there ...feeling all the feelings.
Anyways, I have given myself till month's end and if nothing, I will assume it ain't coming and move on to the next plan.

It's worth noting that this year applications are many and I believe that preferences are given to those who applied from Lagos. I applied from Abuja and there was basically no queue whatsoever unlike Lagos and Lagos still gets preferred. The lady I was talking about had her appointment on the 22nd of sept in Lagos while mine was 15th Sept in Abuja.

Everything just doesn't make sense.

Are doing online classes currently, how were you even able to access that?? Have you paid tution fee or something?
Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Dogeatdog: 3:04pm On Oct 25, 2022
I paid part tuition, the other part is due feb 23. All students waiting for visa are provided with zoom link for every course.

I think you should contact the embassy via email Standard student visa takes 3 months and if yours is past that time and you don't hear from them then you can mail them asking them what the issue is.
If mine is up to that 3 months I will mail them.
