God forbid....I am instead a follower of Jesus Christ, one who lives in submission and obedience to His Law and Truth in the Kingdom of God. undecided

There is no monetary value to this line of work, I am afraid. So, anyone who is instead in search of riches and wealth of this world may not need to look this way, as you are instead required to sell and give away everything you have in order to pursue this line of work. undecided

Well, it is kind of weird but according to Jesus Christ, God will take care of the needs of those who choose to live according to His teachings and commandments, and so far, like something fantastical, that has been the case for me. I don't regularly worry about most everything you have there on your list at all. undecided

Lol, u should not play a game of atheist...

Jesus never told u to be lazy, Jesus never said one should not work.

He Himself said He would bless the work of our hand

So He's expecting us to work.

So where have u bn seeing money?

So, are you saying that what Jesus Christ Himself decreed in John 6 vs 25 - 35 is all a lie? undecided

Are you insinuating that when Jesus Christ said that only those who sell everything and give it all away to the poor will have a part of Heaven, He was lying too - Matthew 19 vs 21 & Luke 18 vs 22 & Matthew 13 vs 42 - 44? undecided

Jesus Christ said blessed are those who hear and accept His teachings aka those who submit to and obey His teachings and commandments. It is those whose works are blessed by Him. So how can He bless the works of someone who does not obey His teachings and commandments? Or do you think He is a liar of some sort? undecided

No make me start to preach to you at all... my point is the image of Jesus Christ that is out there in the world is far from the Truth of God presented in scripture - basically the idol that is worshipped in your churches has little to no bearing in scripture - and you ought to be aware of this to understand why I do what I do. undecided

Ok, basically for me to escape unnecessary argument I have one remark which is "I hear u"

So I hear u.

Now back to the root of the matter, leave Jesus out of it.
What do u do for a living.

Do you think that maybe you have a minor problem with comprehension?

Go read a second time and you will see where I clearly stated that what the mother does is not excused, nut is understood. But even if I did not say that, if what you got from my write up was that prostitution is the only way of resolving difficulties, then you need to go and spend sometime to learn to read and comprehend and then understand.
What is bad is bad. Leave too much grammar

Ur answer was just borne out of hatred for a particular religion which isn't my problem.

Nobody included Jesus issue from the beginning, u don't even know if I am from the other religions.
Well, for u to know, I am a free thinker so I am not deep into religious higgihaga like that, it doesn't interest me.

Ur noble profession is what I ask for, or better still, what course did u study in higher institution

I am 17 years old, I am done with my secondary school, I stay with my grandparents in the village, Uromi Edo state. I started living with my grandparents since I was 8 years old around 2013 when my parents got separated. My father live in Abeokuta and he is married to another woman with 2 children. Although my father has been the one paying my school fees and sending me money for up-keep, he even told me to pick jamb form in order to further my education in uniben.

My mother live in Lagos, she has a daughter for another man but they were not married. The man took his daughter and kick my mother out his house. Now my mother is Single, she own a mini bar where she do her ashawo work. She sleeps with men that come to drink in her bar. Her house is just opposite the bar.
No wonder my grandfather ban her from visiting us in village. 9 years I didn't set my eyes on my mother. So when my uncle visited us, I begged him to carry me to Lagos just to see my mother, I also begged my grandparents too.
When I got to Lagos, My mother was looking like a slut. Long eye lashes, nails, chewing gum, tight leggings revealing her bum bum & hip, her skin looks bleached.

Since on Friday evening i came to Lagos I have been crying. She couldn't even respect herself. She have just 1 sales girl in her shop, the girl is also an ashawo, she dressed seductive like my mother, she would be in her early 20s. Anytime men comes around to drink and they want to have sex with my mother or her sales girl, my mother will jst take them to her house opposite the bar.
I told her I will be going back to the village tomorrow, she gave me 25k but I rejected it. I was crying, she was crying too. She could sense that I hate her reckless lifestyle cry cry cry cry
I am at my uncle's place now, I am so devastated, My heart is wounded. My uncle told me so many things but he said I should forgive her, a day will come that my mother will come looking for me by herself.
I will be at iyare motor park tomorrow morning going back to the village
..Hmm wahala dey this life.

Remove Jesus from Ur response. U don't need to include someone u praised and stil critisize in one accord. Someone u think u re trying to nail by his word which ofcourse u and many more can do.

Either Jesus, Prophet mohamad should not grace this convo, not needed sir/ma.

What do u do for a living

You are too young to know about this. Damn! You are just 17. embarassed

Please don't let it screw with your head.

Consider your grandmother as your real mother and try to move on with your life.

That's her profession and she won't change until sales stop coming.

Omo!

@op.
You are right to be irritated and disgusted by the kind of lifestyle and career path your mum has chosen, it's not abnormal for you to feel this way.
But I'd tell you for free, it's a blessing to have a mother irrespective of how involved in your life she has been.
Many people will choose to have a slut mum over a deceased one (I thank God I am not in this category of individuals).
Not having a mother sometimes is way better than having a terrible mother.

Some people are dead now because of their mothers. Besides, the boy has support, his Dad, Uncle and grandparents are enough.

Let us change that line of thought please.

have you heard her story? it might not be worth it but she probably took this route as an easy way out. She loves you and probably regrets what she now do; her reason for crying too.
Please forgive her, love her more and work harder to be better and change her way of living and give her a better life.
You're a man now, this should push you further to be better in all ramifications
