If a man legally married a woman, he’s cleaving (joined) to that woman. It never stated it has to be one woman.

Gen 2:24 - For this reason a man shall leave his Parents and cleave unto his wife.

Read that again. It was even in the Old Testament predating Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, David etc. So if the law was for one wife, then they all sinned which we know wasn’t the case.

Polygamy is dying a natural death thanks in part to the gender equality agenda and campaign. The fight against polygamy isn’t scriptural but social and cultural. Women are now seen as equals to men, so the idea of marrying multiple women is becoming abhorrent to modern society.
