Shikamaru1: He listens to which people? You certainly do not know who Wike is. Wike listens to nobody. If indeed he listens to people he won't be at loggerhead with his cardinals. The cardinals are a set of highly placed politicians in PDP that dine with him . The two senators representing Rivers state and many of the Reps members from Rivers state are all at loggerhead with him. Has Wike ever held a town hall meeting wherein he assembles opinions of Rivers people as was the case during Amaechi's time. You are certainly not from Rivers state. Your view simply buttresses that fact. |

alimiadedayo1: I have nothing to proof to you Mr. Man. Go and sample opinions from the street in Rivers state. Beside I am an Ijaw man from Rivers state. I'm not an Igbo but I tell you Obi seem to be the word in everyone's lips down here. The comrade PHil is an influencer and a known PDP member but he is in the forefront of drawing support for Obi. |

Shikamaru1: So the cardinal should tie their future to that of Wike? When Abiye Sekibo was an SA in the 3rd Republic, Wike was a struggling man without a job. When Austin Opera was a deputy speaker, Wike was begging Azuta Mbata to make him Chairman of Obio Akpor. So you like the way Wike is governing Rivers state? A man that is governing without any blueprint? A man that hasn't attracted one FDI into Rivers state. A man that is every erratic, uncouth and that lacks emotional intelligence. Why has he made the Rivers state budget a secret document since his emergence? Well, anything that has a beginning must surely have an end. Wike will fizzle out after next year. Even the So-called Sim will betray him the same way he betrayed Patience Jonathan. It is a cycle. 1 Like |

Shikamaru1: You are not current. patience Jonathan and Wike has fallen apart for years. In short, the reason Wike embarrassed the King of Omuma was because he conferred her a chieftancy title. That not withstanding, I live close to Trans Amadi. Virtually all the companies on that corridor has relocated to Lagos. Wike since his emergence hasn't attracted one Foreign Direct Investment to Rivers state. Isn't it troubling that 80 percent of the Foreign Direct Investment that comes to Nigeria goes to Lagos. https://punchng.com/lagos-attracts-80-of-investment-coming-to-nigeria/ Wike could not even prevail on his business partners, Julius Berger to site their new cashew nut factory in Rivers state. Rather they prefer siting it in Badagry in Lagos State. The Cassava processing Plant at Oyigbo that shell built in collaboration with the Rivers state governance why is it not functional. Mind you, the project has been completed and commisioned. What is Wike's investment in Agriculture? There is a scrap plant that was built free of charge by a Foreign coy and it is domicle in Eleme. Why is the factory under lock and key? Why is the syringe factory that was built by his predecessor under lock and key? I won't bother to dwell on investment Amaechi put in place like the Banana farm, Sorgha farm, Buguma Fish farm etc that Wike killed. Why is the mother and child hospital that was built in partnership with NDDC under lock and key one year after commissioning ? The building and locking will also be the same fate of the Peter Odili Cancer Center he claims to be building. Anything that will attract job, why is Wike scared of it? Go to our state civil service no civil servant has been promoted since Wike became governor. The edifice of our State secretariat is decrepit and Wike has refused to renovate it. A state like Rivers state that was created in 1967 can only boost of PH. Mind you Obio Akpor was carved out of PH. The greater PH blueprint Amaechi came up with has been jettisoned by Wike. With all these facts you still want me to like the man. A man that is so full of optics and that has not created sustainable jobs for my Rivers brethren. |

Shikamaru1: Opobo road was almost 80 percent completed by his predecessor. He only erected three bridges out of the 12 on that corridor. That of the Trans Kalabari road, I really must commend him for pushing through with it. Beside, kalabari youths laid their lives for him to be reelected for a second time. And that of the Cassava processing plant was a wholly built by Shell for the Rivers state government. Wike didn't spend a dine. The 12,000 teachers Amaechi employed wasn't much when compared to the numbers of schools we have in Rivers state. Beside a need assessment was done indicating that the state needed 12,000 teachers. During Amaechi's time, the firm I was working with was consulting for the ministry of finance in automating their accounting information system. The wage bill as at them was less than 6 Billion. Beside, the only coy that left Trans Amadi that is into oil exploration is Chevron. The chunk of the firm that left PH are into production and services. I do not like Wike's governance style. And I have never hiding it. The only thing Wike can boost of is urban renewal. Wike governance has no blueprint. And that is why Sim during his acceptance speech after the primary opined that he should be giving time to draw up his blueprint. A state as rich as my state should be a haven for investment. Haven for tourism. We have the topography and we have the resources to make it happen. |

Kingpin1000:You must have at least 25% in 24 states and win maximum votes to become President. Only 19 Northern States even if he wins all which is impossible cannot make him President. Moreover, Nigerians are no longer interested in ethnicity or religion, they want a person with Competence, character and capacity to deliver the whole nation because economic hardship does not respect any region. |

mrksquare: I am a Yoruba man but understands the Rivers politics very well. I disagreed with 85% of your analysis. I know Rivers politics from Anthony Ukpo, Adeleye, Ada George, Dauda Komo till the present Wike. Your analysis represents anti Wike analysis in public affairs commentary, however, there is no pro Wike analyst to engage you. The other person using Yoruba name - shikamaru is just giving you chance to express your bitterness against Wike. I am not here to engage you but to correct you on a widely held assumption which have been accepted as the truth on the issue of Lagos. Firstly, you said Julius Berger established Cashiew factory at Badagry, it is at Epe and not Badagry. Ever since FG gave approval for the establishment of Deep Seaport at Badagry in July I have engaged over 20 IBOS and South South people that the Port is a Private initiative but regulatory framework made it Joint venture project with FG. Badagry Port Development Limited has been in existence for years. Cashew factory is an Agro processing industry. Because JB implemented projects in Rivers as it does in other places does not give Wike priority over JB board of Directors and over factors of production required for the factory over Lagos. Isaac Adaka Boro and Kenule Saro Wiwa must be weeping in their graves over your attack against Wike. Ekpenyong is an ideal AkwaIbom man. They have resigned to fate whatever befalls them. They are always crying they are minority and very comfortable with whatever befalls them. It was the South West governors led by Olusegun Osoba that fought the abolition of onshore / offshore oil dichotomy battle with FG and they were lucky Obasanjo was in power. That made Akwa Ibom State a very rich state as most of the oil wells are offshore and Victor Attah was not collecting derivation on them. The IBO governors and South South governors were very dormant and inactive only Victor Attach was crying of cheating. The South West governors (Lagos & Ogun) led the littoral states battle which led to the abolition of Offshore / Onshore dichotomy which AkwaIbom is enjoying today. It was easy when Tunde Bakare led a mass action that culminated in the recognition of Jonathan as acting President when Yaradua was on life support in Saudi Arabia. It was also easy when Obj single handedly brokered power for him in 2011. Pa Edwin Clark and the IBOS who hijacked the government cannot deliver him in 2015. Abiola lost Rivers in 1993 under Rufus Ada George (NRC). I know you should have expected Tinubu to keep quiet and not go into outburst over his disenfranchisement. Despite his outburst against consensus candidacy, APC chairman still produced Ahmed Lawan as the Consensus Presidential candidate. If not for the outburst and insistence by other groups who foresee problems, APC primary would not have taken place. I know that is what the IBOS and coward South South people wanted but not Wike, Isaac Adaka Boro would have resisted it if alive, Kenule Saro Wiwa would not have taken it if alive. I intentionally mixed everything together for you to decipher. Not everybody can accept cheating with peace of mind. 2 Likes |

jamace:how I wish you can come and leave in North for two months, you thinking will change.... north /hausa will never leave there own person to vote an Igbo person..not in this world... Igbo man can never be trusted wen it comes to power so therefore Atiku will have more than 80% northern votes obi can have even 10% votes from core North |

He wont let us down [/quote] u guys should stop all u thinking..u stays in the east or west and be analyzing politics for people staying in the north.. kwankoso will not affect much of PDP votes rather Tinubu votes... and kwankoso is no near match to Atiku... |

babaolofin: You ended up saying nothing other than correcting my gaffe in relation to the siting of the cashew processing plant. Wike lacks the moral justification to be preaching for equity in PDP. The Ikwerres since the creation of Rivers state(old) were marginalized as non of their sons could become the governor owing to the Ijaws tight grip on the state. As at 1999, the structure in both PDP and APP were in the hands of the Ijaws in Rivers. But the founders of PDP like Alabo Graham Douglas and Marshal Harry ceded the PDP ticket to Odili even though so many of their kins were angling for the position. Their action was anchored on the necessity to engender ethnic balancing. Rivers state power bloc is divided between the Riverine and upland. Odili, a minority from the upland bloc ruled for 8years and violated the power sharing arrangement. After his tenure he picked an Ikwerre man for another 8years in the person of Amaechi. Amaechi saw the injustice and was poise to return power to the riverine bloc to ensure equity. Guess who thwarted that effort, it was Wike. He succeeded another Ikwerre by playing into the hands of Jonathan and his wife. They gifted him the PDP ticket and oiled the rigging that saw to his emergence. So my point, he who must come to equity must come with clean hand. You can be fighting for equity whereas he was the person that punctured the equitable power sharing formula in Rivers state. Also, in Rivers state, the PDP chairman and his anointed candidate for the Guber race are from same senatorial district. Yet he hasn't seen the need to tell the state PDP chairman to resign and give way for other zone to produce the PDP chairman. If it is another person that is advocating for equity and fair play in PDP, I wouldnt have issue. It shouldn't be Wike. Even in Rivers state, the man derives pleasure in giving undue advantage to his Ikwerre brethen to the exclusion of other ethnic groups in the state. Virtually all the flyovers he has/is constructing are domicle in his Ikwerre axis of the state. Lately, have you read through the PDP constitution? If you have you will know that Wike and his group has no case. They are only appealing to morality & fair play and not constitutionality. Atiku is only but a candidate. He hasn't won the election to justify why Ayu should resign. |

Shikamaru1: I am voting for a man who has a solid track record of having built a business from nothing into a unicorn. The reason Wike is a failure governance-wise is because he hasn't any working experience in any outfit nor any history of having managed any business before delving into politics. After law school he just made a foray into politics and became a local government chairman. If Sim wins fine. He is my brother. So is Tonye Cole. But I won't support Sim. He should first of all avail himself to the EFCC and answer for the 177 billion he withdrew from Zenith Bank. When he absolve himself then I will now consider him. |

Shikamaru1: Sahara Energy bought the power asset from the Rivers state government and paid that sum you stated to the state government coffers. Wike came and said there is no trail of the said sum. That is the issue. Tonye Cole or Sahara Energy wasn't given any money. Rather they paid money to the Rivers state government for buying the power assets. Tonye Cole has consistently clarified this issue. He said if Sahara Energy was into shaddy dealing that there is no way they will be operating in 48 countries in the world. And that since the inception of the company they haven't been mired nor found culpable in any sharp practices. That Sahara energy have a robust ethical policy that abhors corrupt practices. |
