I jejely carried my office files and my laptop, walk straight to the sitting and continue my job. Because if I talk otherwise about that movie na problem for me and I don't want her wahala this night.

Abeg, it depends on the kind of Nigeria movies you watch. In fact, I don't categorize those African Magic 9 movies as Nollywood. I watch nollywood movies but very selective about it. Blood sisters, The perfect arrangement, Finding Hubby, Smart money woman(series), The men's club (series), Rattlesnake and the likes are still fairly good movies you can pick up from. Nollywood movies are not all bad as you people portray it. All Hollywood movies aren't excellent too after all

Nollywood, the most useless and dullest thing in Nigeria. The poorly educated idiots writing their scripts can't act films on colonialism, civil war(I don't mean victimhood propaganda) actual historical events to teach young people their history. All they do is to be shouting Igwe up and down. Since I was born I have never seen a king but watching a Nigerian film you'd think there are Kings in every single street in Nigeria. And this is why I cherish Netflix. Stopped watching DSTV eons ago. Now, I have a fine grain control of my entertainment feeds which largely consist of Sci-fi, Political and Fantasy movies mostly from South Korea or any other foreign country (I discovered recently that these countries are simply the best at cinematography and excellent dialogue).

Some Nigerian shows are still worth it though like King of Boys and Finding a hubby. I generally lean towards watching any Nigerian shows that are featured on the Favourite movies/shows in Nigeria at that moment.

I watch Korean movies omo forget it does guys are just too good story line is top notch chai.....

I don't think you have been around the kind of people that immerse their selves in such kind of movies. Their reasoning is always pegged on that mentality so if their partner reason broad they will have to find other people to reason with or turn to their phone.

If I talk 1min with such person I already know(Na you go frustrate run).the uneducated ones will attack you the moment they realize you are trying to bring them out of it or make jest.

My cousin I stayed with used to bury her head in z world (you need to see how she rush home from work and Banish everyone from sitting room) till the day she casted,burnt food so the kids ate late and smell of burnt food didn't leave house till next morning.

Nigerians Love talking down on themselves

The low Bugdeg Asaba movies are made for largely the illiterate and sadly poor populace of Nigerian who can relate to movies with basic themes that affect the common man

But when it come to the other half of Nigerians who are more educated and well to do we have very good movies by Iroko tv, Ramsey Noah production, Ruth Kadiri and many more which have found their way to Netflix

But we just want to keep praising Hollywood and taking down on Nollywood,
Aside Universal studios, paramount, 20th century, Warner bros , Disney, dc marvel and other very good production companies

Their are a lot of Wack movies studios that produce very low budget and bad movies in the US too

Nollywood is really doing well with her Cinema movies ..and these movies consume a huge buget too, OMo ghetto was reportedly a buget over 90 million dollars. Come let’s value our own

And allow Asaba movies produce for the common Nigerian
