My daughter sat for this year Nigeria Airforce secondary school examination and when the first list came out, her name was not there so she was so sad about it but I told her to forget about it.

Just two weeks ago, I enrolled her in a school where I spent 250k for tuition fee,books and uniform.

Just this morning, someone called me that her name just came out in the supplementary list. Honestly I really want her to attend the school but at the same time I am considering how much I have spent in his new school and definitely I will still spend more even if her go to the airforce

Please is it worth all the money and stress. I can overlook everything I have spent in the new school if I am assured airforce will give my child quality education

What's the difference between air force school and the one you paid 250k for?

By the way, since you can afford 250k for school fees, you can discard it and enroll her into the air force school. Since that's what you're really after.

Military school would make her disciplined and being an ex-jaw would be a nice advantage if she eventually wants to pursue a career in the air force.

Well I don't know how heavy your pocket is, but
Firstly i will want you to consider other factors such as:

A) Performance :
1)Academic:kindly compared track records of this two schools so as to know the one that delivers better academically
2) social: your child may be using 6 years in any school that you choose, it very important to know how the social life of this schools are so you won't end up regretting oo

B) Cost: what's additional cost will you be incurring assuming you have not paid in the private school....
C) are both schools boarding or Day?

I am sure you can apply for partial or full refund if you explain better to the proprietor of that secondary school..

For the record I am a product of Airforce Primary school. And my siblings went to Airforce Scondary school
Therefore I can recommend Airforce school at any time.

She will still take a second round of exams before the final interview. If she scales through then you can contemplate which one to choose from.

Replace her with a distant relation to complete the journey then enroll her in the army school case closed

To the best of my knowledge, I think the school is okay. Since it was actually what she wanted, and what you people had already planned, I think it will be worth it. I just pictured myself in her shoes and can feel the excitement already. It will also be a good lesson for her to learn that sometimes things don't work out exactly as planned but, your desire will come to you.

If it will be possible to get back the money paid, that would be great. You may even want to work things out with the school if possible, for the money to be used as school fees for a parent yet to pay. The school will have nothing to loose in that circumstance.

But before you abandone or inform the School where you have already paid school fees of any change of plans, pls make sure your daughter is already fully admitted. Not just offer of admission. I mean she must of done all necessary medicals ( if any), and you have paid whatever has to be paid, and she, FULLY ADMITED.

Airforce schools and unity schools have lost their glory. Besides op u didn’t tell us which of d airforce schools u are eyeing? Is it airforce jos,Lagos,kaduna etc and where are u resident?

Pls those of you from the south still fixing ur kids in boarding schools in the north should desist and start looking towards schools around u. Parents should be wiser now.
Why should a parent living in Lagos dump a child in a boarding house in Abuja?
Why should a parent living in Anambra dump a child in a boarding house in Lagos?
Why should a parent living in Kano dump a child in a boarding house in Warri?

For the record I am a product of Airforce Primary school. And my siblings went to Airforce Scondary school
Therefore I can recommend Airforce school at any time.
It is day sir. Actually the registration and tuition fee is about 120k and after that we will be pay 32k per term unlike the one she's attending now that is 95k per term

I'm a product of Airforce primary school Yola and Army Command day Secondary school Yola.
So I think Airforce Secondary school is the right choice for your daughter.

@op why do you want her to go to military school? Can she survive the rigors of regimental life? I myself am a product of military, from Air force primary, to AFMS, and finally NDA as a naval cadet. Back then being an exboy or an ex-Jam was an added advantage getting into the military. Secondly, my father was a strict disciplinarian W.O who wanted us to learn sense by suffering. Along the line we fell in love with the military, my twin sis and I.
I forgot to mention she is a Flying Officer now.
So op, aside the above reasons, abeg leave your daughter for her own day. Make men no use Malice and Injustice Chawus her.

Please think twice. That girl's life is more precious than something to gamble with.

Send her to a regular school. Period!
