Lol. It is more painful to read from the supposed learned Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmad, saying Nigeria is still below 40% threshold set for borrowing limit. From the look of things, Nigeria must have crossed 150% by now, it is when another party wins the presidential election in 2023 that we will see the true picture.

You don't have sense sha. 65% of containers that enter Lagos ports are bound for Onitsha and Aba and you are still believing 90s stats when in the last 15years the number of SEs trooping to Lagos has reduced. You have a problem brewing but you are so fixated in attacking the east that you are not seeing the numbers of northerners from BH infested areas and undocumented immigrants from Niger,Chad, Mali, Cameroon and Togo trooping into Lagos on a regular. Go to Agege and see them. Keep hating on igbos you hear.

Buhari's family members known as Presidency aka cabal and Emefiele have been printing money for their personal use, even the chairman of minting is doing same, so I ask; what stops them from printing enough money to settle Nigeria's so called external debt? America is the father of money printing, when their economy seems down, they go to their minting office to print enough dollars to offset their national economic woes which is why they can kill any President that dare stop using USD for her country's FX settlements.

Russia that tried it is paying dearly for it as we speak.
you just answered yourself.. those loans are in dollars and would paid back in dollars and not naira..except nigeria go and beg USA to print dollars for them...if not the dollar must come from the exchange of your natural resources..

It's stupid to borrow to fund recurrent expenditure. It's wise to borrow to fund capital expenditure.

Just like borrowing to eat and borrowing to invest which is more profitable?

These are the effects of a mismanaged economy due to ineptitude, cluelessness, and incompetency. This is what happens when an country dependent solely on a consuming import economy decided that the solution to any economic challenge is the impulsive urge to go borrowing.

Nigeria is so broke today that even the generated revenues are not enough to sustain overhead cost( including the bogus fiscal recklessness lifestyles of the less than 10% politicians) let alone fund budget, then service the debt pillage nor pay the debts itself.

What else
Why don't you just do your research and see what the loans are for?
You have a smart phone and yet you're still among those Nigerians that will shout, "what are the loans used for?"
It won't take you 20MB to just search google and see the projects the loans are being used for.

One day, all this borrowing would be cleared Sha.

Meanwhile.
We reasonable Nigerians will vote the best candidate by looking at their respective states and regions and vote for the best candidate based on the development in their states in terms of infrastructure security investment economy, revenue generation, HDI GDP

A foolish Nigerian choice.
1. ATIKU- TO REPLICATE ADAMAWA DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA

2. OBI- TO REPLICATE ANAMBRA DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA.

3. KWANKWASO. TO REPLICATE KANO DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA.

THEY DON'T WANT NIGERIA TO BE LIKE LAGOS, BACKWARDNESS MENTALITY, FOOLISHNESS MENTALITY. YOU EXPECT ATIKU OR OBI TO DO BETTER THAN WHAT THEY DID WHILE THEY WERE YOUNG GOVERNORS OR VP.

We are tired of people trooping to Lagos, let the development spread equally, for a greater nation.

Small money rivers made last year, wike was already shouting, he won't send money to fg again.

Bros finally you are the one who is backward and senseless not yo know tjat Lagos was once the FCT hence was developed by combined efforts from other states it is even more stuuupid for youto attribute development in lagos to Tinubu alone who was governor for only 8 yrs after which other persons served in same office does it now mean those other persons didn't work?

Enugu and calabar were once fct also. Mumu. Lagos is doing far better than both the present fct and past fcts

You see… you fail to see the obvious reasons why that is so!

First Enugu was never FCT I don't know where you got such information.

Lagos was FCT for 71 years before abuja in 1991 incase you don't know and most of the things built in Lagos was build at this time eg the stadium and many others Tinubu did nothing in Lagos other than increased taxation which never reflected on the life of an average Lagosian. I sure know you must be from Ogun hence you don't know all this.

Do your research, calabar and Enugu were once fct. I don't have time to be arguing with someone who think he's always right.

1. Lagos is by far more developed the bothe the Present Abuja, Former calabar, and Enugu.

2. Lagos is by for more developed than 90% of FCT in Africa. Or was Lagos Africa FCT.

3. You will later say Lagos development is not as a result of good governance but Nigeria failure is as a result of bad governance. Is Lagos richer than NIGERIA, is Nigeria ever a poor country.

4. You will claim Lagos development is as a result of being in contact to the Atlantic ocean, is Lagos the only state in Nigeria in contact to Atlantic ocean, why is it having the 3rd most performing seaports in the whole of Africa.

5. See, I don't see any reason I should be discussing anything with you. Check the revenue generation spike, the year it happened, compare it with the GDP, Lagos development lies solely on wealth, and that's what Buhari government don't know, if we can get that spike, and we become very rich again, money will solve all our people, yes including security, money solves all problems.

Please, avoid me seems what your are trying to do is to justify Anambra failure, why is it that you guys concern is Tinubu and lagos. Why so much pain, Lagosians claims still hail Tinubu and Fashola today, they are happy with them, what the Bleep is wrong with you guys

My brother this is exactly what I have been asking myself, like why can’t they print more Naira to offset the external debts but I have come to see that in economic there’s a regulation to notes printing, else it will affect the country more adversely. My surprise is that some countries do this and they have been succeeding angry
