Thank you , no I didn’t pay for viator , I had bookings I did for myself earlier , that’s what I used , viator is not accepting any card but you can try dollar card though

I don't get what you mean by first time travelers, as the question is not about applying for Visa to Italy, if you read my original post, you'll understand my question

You can transit through any of the Schengen countries if you have a valid tourist or transit visa from any of the Schengen countries. You can't use your visa before the valid date written on the visa sticker.
