ASUU powers needs to be clipped. Government most make sure they sign agreement of no work no pay this time around. That’s why they can comfortably go on strike for 8 months because they know government will still pay them . If Doctors are striking like ASSU Nigerians will be dying like flies .

If these ASUU senior men have their children In Nigeria schooling they won’t be offing like NEPA . Two months - three months strike is enough to ginger the government. Government must destabilize ASUU this time around their Wahala is too much .

imagine if soldiers go on strike, upon those people are risking their lives for us to live yet their salary no reach 100k them no dey strike even one day

yet ASUU dey go 8-9 months strike every two years.

police men no dey go strike.

According to the judgment, if lower court sentence someone to death, the person must die first before he is entitled to appeal.

I hope the supreme court upholds the decision they won't shout APC too.

We reckon APC has had some Supreme court judgements against them.

E.g. Bayelsa state guber.

Appeal court is the final court for cases like this. That’s what I heard

If they refuse, the Federal Government should enforce the Judgment of the Court by deregistering them grin

The government should not stop at that.

Vice-chancellors must account for hundreds of billions worth of TETFUND grants they have embezzled.

The lecturers must also write apology letters to students and add 20 marks to the score of students because you cannot stay 8 months at home blocking highways and bullying online without forgetting what you were taught in January. It should be a criteria for paying them the 8 months salary they didn't work for.

For more than 40 years, ASUU has shattered the dreams of great Nigerian students.

Below is a picture of ASSU strike being called off in 1981. My mother had just started Primary School in 1981. 41 years later a useless congress of indecent academicians are still frustrating students.

Some people no well in this Nigeria...

Who put the Lecturers in School?

Oga, pray for wisdom.

So do think they TETFUND gives out money like that too?

Do they sentence people to death in industrial disputes? Or industrial disputes have become criminal cases? Or are u saying criminal cases are tried at National Indusrial courts?

ASUU are political thugs . The strike is already politicized . How can they demand for 1 trillion that’s not realistic. Even if ASUU resumes government should destabilize them so these rubbish won’t persist .
FG is bad but they don’t owe federal workers on like state do .

U have said it all my man.
Falana is just a noise maker.
Jones4190:
If Govt is the one that asked for a stay of proceedings/execution and refused to obey court order like ASUU did with the order of the Industrial Court, SERAPNigeria, EiENigeria & all the other jobbers ipob obituary would have been up in arms. oga due process would have roared from all corners.
It was ASUU that scorned the Industrial Court, proceeded on appeal for a stay of an interlocutory order and all the pretenders to rule of law kept mute. The Court of Apeal advised parties should think of the nation & settle, but ASUU did not do this. Now the Court of Apeal has affirmed lower court.
Let me explain in layman's terms why ASUU's position is puerile:
(a) The case in court filed by the FGN is to submit all the issues between ASUU and FGN to jurisdiction of the court for adjudication.
(b) The FGN applies for interim order for ASUU to resume lectures WHILE the main case is being tried. That is; pending the determination of the substantive case.
(c) This is what we call INTERLOCUTORY ORDER in law. This order does not mean that the FGN has won or ASUU has lost. That will be decided down the line.
(d) Interlocutory orders are given to minimise damages or preserve the res as we say in law. The court was simply saying, do not let the sufferings of the students and lecturers continue. They can still be in school while we continue with the case and determine it. Everyone should see how reasonable this is abi? But ASUU refused to return to classes and instead went on appeal against an order to protect students & lecturers.
(f) In law an appeal does not operate as a stay thus ASUU should have obeyed the court order and then appeal. ASUU is represented by a SAN who knows better abi?
In conclusion, let us see if Falana SAN will still tell his clients to disobey the Court of Appeal. I have told you many times about the Falana wayo wayo. He won't relent until he is disgraced. The story of ASUU. The end.

My prayers is that this will be the end of ASUU. They've been striking for over 40 years

Diligence:
ASUU can borrow a leaf from FG and refuse to resume. Fg under APC has violated rule of law and refused most courts verdicts..

Besides, where are their 8 months salaries with adequate compensations.

Most of us knew that b4 general elections that. APC would use every crooked ways to compel ASUU to call off strike without honouring any agreements while recognising another academic body.

Mark our words: Nigerian students would tell ASUU not to resume until all agreements met and their salaries paid. They would continue up to the general elections in 2023, then sack APC GOVT and install Mr Peter Obi who would not only honour the agreements, but will also pay all salaries in arrears and ultimately REVIVE education nationwide. THIS IS REVOLUTION.

Some people self don't even understand the reason for the strike at first instance, have you taken out time to go through there demands , majority of the things they are fighting for are for the students, have you asked yourself why we keep graduating students who can compete with there counterparts outside the country with our useless standard of education, what now happens is the necessary structure are put in place, Government should be ashamed of themselves for 40 years ASUU is always going on Strike, even if you as a government have 10years plan on education you would have accomplished a lot by now.
