Reactions As Funke Akindele Submits WASSC As Her Highest Educational Qualification For Governorship Election

As the 2023 general elections draw nearer, politicians contesting for governorship and deputy governorship positions in Lagos state have submitted documents that captured their age and educational qualifications.

The list pasted on the notice board of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) along Birrel in Yaba on Tuesday, showed that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate presented a First School Leaving Certificate (FLSC), West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSC), and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) certificates.

Olajide’s running mate and popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele submitted only her First School Leaving Certificate (FLSC) and West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSC) to INEC as her educational qualifications.

Labour Party Governorship candidate, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is contesting with First School Leaving Certificate and a degree.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is also the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is contesting with First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), BSc., and MBA.

His running mate and Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, is contesting with a Primary School certificate, WASC, BSc, MSc, and Ph.D.

Hamzat is the only candidate on the list with the highest educational qualification.

Many of them {politicians} do dt when they know too well dt their other acclaimed credentials are spurious or questionable!

Thus, 2 escape being dragged, castigated or criticised, they shrewdly exclude such credentials!

Given the quality of politicians PDP present, I strongly believe that PDP is not ready to give APC a run for its money in Lagos yet.

On second thoughts, I doubt that a heavyweight politician can challenge APC in Lagos because we all know how the only one who tried it ended up dead.

Make she submit her degree make some persons go confirm whether she missed one test during her schooling. To avoid unnecessary wahala, the O level is enough.

As far as she's in alignment with constitution. She's probably learning a thing from Peter Obi. She should just ensure she doesn't learn inconsistent facts and lies from him.

Wikipedia confirms she actually attended Mapoly and earned law in Unilag. I actually earlier doubted she'd only have this since education is almost like an emblem of the Yorubas.

Well, I graduated 2016 and I went for my certificate recently...so far, only 4 of us have collected certificate out of like 80 of us in my department. More than half of us are out of naija already.

The gist is most people don't have the time to go for clearance just to get certificate
