Their not obeying court orders will amount to contempt of courts and that is an offence that attracts varying degrees of punishments.

That can provide a valid ground to deregister ASUU as a union and even have the leadership of ASUU arrested for prosecution.

Once ASUU is deregistered, then any lecturer that fails to start work would be sacked with no benefits.

their leaders are well known. the court will place fine on them. their National Executive Council members who are the decision making body can be placed on N10million fine per head.

FG will be forced to enforce it by deducting it from their future salary in percentages.

Junior ASUU members will be urged by FG to resume, attendance register put in place to note the defaulting lecturers.

Their salaries can be denied. It is going to be a scattered resumption if ASUU fails to comply. But resumption must happen, though scattered and disorganised.

The court of appeal ordered them to suspend the strike, i.e obey NIC ruling before lodging an appeal against the ruling.
However, they gave ASUU 7 days window to lodge the appeal, which means they must suspend the strike within that period.

It's even more interesting because ASUU dragged FG to that court before they were knocked back.

What's the use of resuming and not doing the right thing in classes? You think these lecturers will lecture students well in this situation, if they are forced to resume? Una dey cut branches, instead of tackling the root. Anyways their children dey UK and US schools,nothing concerns them.. Na una just dey fool una selves online..

second option cannot stand since the Appeal court have not issued a judgement nor deny their Appeal, rather order to resume before their Appeal can be honored

Honestly, I wouldn't attend a class that I know an ASUU member is teaching if I were a student. They would simply frustrate students. It is better if FG can find ways to either give them what they want or completely overhaul the system and inject qualified jobless graduates with PhDs. The aluta spirit inside ASUU members is just like a virus which will drain and suffocate life out of our tertiary Institutions coupled with the nonchalant attitudes of our Government officials who don't care about Education or future of Nigeria youths. Nigerians are now in the middle of two big evil. The Federal Government and ASUU.
