Different issue with what I experienced with mine three weeks ago. Mine was coming up but was not generating sounds. My rewire checked and said it was the amplifier. We got a new amplifier and all was ok again.

I endured for one week before buying a new amplifier for 35k. That one week of no music in the car was hell. I hated my car then.

Good day House.

The HORN of my 2001 Honda Odyssey suddenly stopped working two days ago.

I checked the Horn fuse and Relay in the fusebox located in the Engine compartment and both components are not faulty.

Pls, is there anything else I can do on my own to resolve this issue?

N/B: This has happened before in the past... At intervals.
Sometimes it stops, and starts working Again on it's own without any fix.
But this time seems longer as it's over two days now.

My advice would be about the tires you put on your Honda. If you have a choice of Run-Flat or Non-Run-Flat tires, I would recommend the former. All things considered the first type of tire is of higher quality and also lasts longer. I know this from a source and from personal experience.

Boss. Conner44. Great job you're doing on here. More Knowledge to you. Pls I notice if my leave my car for at least 2 days without starting/driving, sometimes the battery struggles to start the engine. Does it mean I need to change battery? Bought the battery a little over a year ago. And I ensure the doors are locked and no light is turned on inside the car. Car is EOD 04. Your advice would be highly appreciated Boss.

When you say that the battery sometimes struggles to start the car what do you mean?

Will it eventually start the car if you keep trying?

Or will you eventually have to go and find another battery to start the car because the former one has died?

Yes. I have to use someone else's battery to start and it.comes up then I continue with my Battery but if I pack the car without use for another 2 or 3 days, it won't start except.i remove the battery head within the days I didn't use the car

You have a simple parasitic drain. It’s a job for a knowledgeable auto electrician to handle.

In the meantime you’d have to keep taking off one of your battery heads until the issue is resolved if you know you want to use your battery for long without it packing up sooner than later.

You can test for the vtc solenoid using an advanced scan tool.

This is what I got.

[d serpentine tensioner bolt break inside d hole also d adjust broken too, now we drilled d remnant out also fixed another adjuster unfortunately my formal belt didn't fit in, am stranded, I wil av to sleep here till tomorrow and buy another belt.
My Question
Why did d formal belt didn't fit in again? Could it be that when I change compressor d ac man didn't fix d belt properly or is it a Must I change belt any day I change adjuster? quote author=Conner44 post=117383605]

There are 2 tensioners in the civic engine, there’s the serpentine belt tensioner and the timing chain tensioner.

If it’s the serpentine belt tensioner that is always giving you issues then get a good replacement with the right size of bolts and let the mechanic installing it torque the bolts using the correct specifications

Too tight or too loose and your issues will continue. [/quote]

Don't be afraid. Once upon a time, I owned a Toyota Corolla (2008 South African spec) notorious for oil burning, shortening, consumption (anything u can call it). A lot of people were complaining about it and with smoky engine. Mine was consuming oil but guess what? It served me for 13yrs (bought brand new in 2008) b4 I decided to sell it. Most that bought their own then.... u can't take a second look at it. Never was the engine opened!!!
And it travelled Wella.

Would u say I was lucky? Do u know why I didn't have issues or engine issues with it?
If u can answer this.... Ur solution lies in the answer.

Great!! U got it. So back to what made me to quote u. Stick to it. Civic is one of the best machine out there.
What u should do now is to meet the good auto repairers we have here. Luvinhubby could assist. Gazzuzz is here. Reach out to them. Then u monitor ur car and know when things are due to change. These guys here will not tell u to manage ooooo. Like our quacks will do and when it fails, we blame the product.
Enjoy ur ride!!!

Since you checked and saw that the fuses and wiring are okay it simply means you need new horns. Go and buy tokumbo ones (not new ones oh) and install them.

Horns go bad from time to time especially on older vehicles

Let’s tackle this issue one at a time.

1. The vehicle, was it purchased as a Nigerian used or tokumbo?

2. Exactly how did the issue begin? What we’re the symptoms before failure?

3. What and what parts did you change/replace after the first time you experienced an issue?

4. After changing and replacing the issues how long did you use the vehicle before the same issues came up again?

5. Was it the same exact parts that failed the first time that failed again the second time? How long was the vehicle used after the first repairs before the second failure occurred?

6. You spoke about your serpentine belt not being the same size anymore after a certain repair/replacement of parts, what parts were those? Is the belt now too short too long?

Please try to these questions one by one so that we can create a timeline of your issues.

How long have you been using this vehicle?

Look, tomorrow morning when it’s bright take a clear picture of the area where the adjuster bolt broke off and post it here. I want to see it to confirm something.
