To me I will just advice that you know your interest in the trade market because it's not about motivation but discipline that matters .... You might not have learnt well before jumping into the market , u might not have your own tradegy for trading which you must have , also have your trading plan like just generally know your mind interest....

It's just a year and you're tired.. Good! Now you know you have to try out something differently now. The mistake you are exactly making is trying out different strategies and seeing some or all as holy grail.

What I'd advice you do for the next 6 months is to get a working strategy (one that you've seen your teacher or his mentee profitable with) and MASTER IT!! The reason why you've been failing is because you have not learned to master a strategy yet. You need to backtest a lot so you'll master market structure and behaviour. This will help you in understanding how to properly integrate your strategy for profitability.

You have to make it a routine and be consistent at it. Let no day pass without you testing out your method or demotrading. And please no matter how much confidence you grow, forget about live trading during these times please.

Slowly and Consistently, you'll see what you'll become in 6 months.

First of all, one year is too small to learn. Ask yourself how many years it takes one to become a doctor or lawyer? It is same for forex. You have to learn the ropes. I have been trading for years and I've been able to develop a few strategies of mine and I also have a trading plan. I have now automated some of my systems as I work full time. Meanwhile, it'll interest you to know that I only trade GBPUSD, EURUSD, Gold, USDJPY and GBPJPY. Nothing else. That should tell you something about specialisation. Forex is pretty much like any other discipline and it is when you trivialise it that you dont become successful. Lastly, profit making shouldn't be your goal while starting out. Mastery should be your focus. Money making naturally comes with mastery in forex trading.

Can't be a jack of all. Try mastering a particular strategy that suits you. Learn how each indicator works down to the settings. Study the market. If possible, you can derive your own by combining others.

I am Efelexy and I will tell you what your problem is. Your problem is money management. You lack proper money management because you are a greedy person by nature and since you are still a newbie with stupid dreams of making it quick and fast, you kept on burning your fingers.

How did I know this Op? Very simple; you were rambling how wealthy South Africans traders are because of the flashiness you saw on YouTube and other social media spaces. Lolzzzz .... Ojukokoro will just kill you because most things you see on social media are fake representation of actual events because of the universal sickness called "fake lives". Most of these guys may not even make their money from Forex alone as they want the public to believe by posing flashiness to catch viral attention only to end it by selling you their crappy courses for money. Now put on your thinking cap Op and reason alone with me; if the swindling imposters are really making tons of dollars daily or weekly from the Forex market with their almighty strategies, will they be so desperately after your chicken change to get you strategically baited to pay for their undervalued premium courses.

Use your head Op and stop getting confused. You are a newbie at just ordinary one year in the market. Wetin dey worry you sefffff my brother. Don't you know you are only passing through a mandatory learning curve to make you a better trader in the future. Instead of you to still be trading demo and enjoying your baby steps mistakes in the market till you eventually get it right one day and know you can confidently advance into live trading. You went ahead and jump greedily because of false believe of making it fast. Op all you will ever need as far as Forex trading is concern is already inside you. Infact it is currently in your head, and the name of that thing is called "trading psychology".

Finally Op; go and learn about proper money management and risk management because survival is the key in Forex. Always open every position with 0.01 lot size no matter how sure you are of the direction. And also no matter how big or small your trading equity is. Open just one position and let it be the smallest lot size which is 0.01 and watch the price action of the market with your already determined Stop loss and Take profit set already on the price chart because you are not a magician and the FX market must always obey the natural laws of demand and supply. Make sure you add Resistance/Supply zones and Support/Demand zones on your chart so you can easily see and note psychological price areas on your chart with your naked eyes. Always do top down analysis on the pair you are trading by looking at the weekly W1 chart PA, then go down to the daily D1 chart PA, before finally triggering your trades position on the four hourly H4 chart PA (price action). And you will feel more confident when taking your positions in the market.

I wish you the very best Op in your future endeavours, and I am sorry if my writing was harsh at first. I did that purposely just to let my message sink into you. Always know you will have losing and winning trades always as far as you are a trader. It is part of the business and it is nothing. So your focus should always be on having more winners than losers. And when losing, and it apparent to you that the direction is bad and you are wrong. Let it hit your already set stop loss, or just cut the loss short as there will always be good and more profitable opportunities in the future.
