na so oo.. lol
What's funny is you can say this, and all agree you're offering clarification + stating a fact, yet Munamoqel said same a while ago and was called bad belle.

But still on still, if I have made a down-payment and I have the keys, I should be able to rent parts of the house out, provided I don't default for the duration of that arrangement...and beyond. interesting. So I pay shitload of money to get a house I'd probably spend my productive years paying for, but the income I can make on my hefty investment is capped to 625 a month. Na wa o. What tax rate will apply when it is higher than 625 a month?
una go talk true cheesy better come do reversed japa and buy land for surulere and build 6 apartment of 3 bedroom @1500000 ..total 9m no need to ask any body how you wan rent you house or who stay .this is the TRUE LIBERTY .

Slowly, this talk is gaining traction and festering in their minds. I guess they're allowing it to stew, so when they finally make the decision the outrage and backlash wouldn't be so much.

Generally, avoid cars with dual transmission (semi-autos).

Avoid French products.

Embrace Japanese and a few German products.

You can check this video for more:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puVH1Q3AqI4

I've confirmed a lot of what was said in the video with a few long-term taxi drivers and users in the UK.

Viruses:

What brands should be avoided?
It will be helpful to know please.

Not really necessary but some employers do request for it before they can employ you giving the fact that you just arrived to the UK. So to be on a better side just get it.

Just seeing this now. I hope uk immigration laws are not retrospective. Especially for those that are already here hoping to get 2 years Post work permit

I think what they'll do is to reduce the number of dependents one can bring

OR

Limit post study grants to students who enroll in courses on the SOL and ask schools to make admissions more stringent

smiley
for those still coming abi? Hope it won’t affect those already here

Na to do U-Turn enter another country smiley

At the end of the day, they will sit down and think about if their citizens can do the jobs available alone or if they need immigrants from abroad to do them

Hehehe I am not a lawmaker but i dont think it will affect those already here

UK Univerisities are already enjoying the money Intl students bring and how they help fill their classes

I believe they wont stop the dependent thing, but they will put a cap somewhere

That being said, they're torchlighting Nigeria but leaving China and India for some reason smiley

From the article -

The Home Office are considering restricting visa applications only to those who have completed studied in high-demand subject areas, such as engineering, the Times reports.

Just as I predicted

You either want it or not ......... You cannot love their money, and/but hate their presence..........

This policy is coming back full circle......... Students would simply start marrying British citizens, all over again........

Let's see how they can circumvent that manoeuvre.... cheesy

It is necessary and part of the required documents to submit for visa application

I don;t think it will affect those here already though getting PSW for those here already will be harder.

Two set of people to be blame for this are: Those using untouchable loan and sham marriage for student visa.

We have had PSW before but this type of issue was not experienced.

I think in future they will only allow people who are coming to study certain courses to stay for PSW, i don't think business courses will be on that list.

Like I knew they'd later plug holes and was advising people studying these courses to be careful but... They'll turn you to "village people"

Maybe students will marry citizens as Lexus has mentioned. Remains to be seen how this will play out

This is not an issue of sham marriages and/or shady study POF. This is the whites once again showing their disdain and showing you that they can spit in your face all they want. There are two clear issues, which are valid but it is still of their own design.

Ironically, this is being championed by someone who is from an immigrant household.

First issue is they say una immigrants dey unskilled. Yep, all ye top people going to do care jobs are unskilled as far as the UK is concerned. How? You all aren't contributing enough to the GDP to justify your presence. Immigrants have to do 17x extra to get good jobs with good salary in UK standards, not naira conversion. Meaning whatever taxes you think you are paying now is not significant enough. The population is increasing due to the influx, but GDP per capita is reducing because the influx are not contributing enough to the economy due to the fact that they are in unskilled low level jobs. This is a fact, but like I said it is their own design.

Second issue, that concerns Nigerians negatively is that bar chart that was in the news last week or so. That bar chat is like a flashing neon light screaming 'these Nigerians need serious attention'. We aren't the highest number of immigrants but we have the overwhelmingly highest student-dependednt ratio, basically 1:1, while other that have almost x7 of student population have like ratio 9:1 and even higher. That is LOUD and warrant attention by any analyst. So, you see, another fact, but this one is not totally of their design, but can I blame the Nigerians who are moving their families along with them, because their true purpose of travelling wasn't studying? I would be called a bad belle if I said that, but ask yourslef if it is a lie. It is clear to them that Nigerians particularly aren't really coming for study.

Two things will happen now. One, they will still make admissions easy, but post-study will be limited to only specific fields, skills, experiences. Everyone else gets 6mth to a year PSW, after which failure to get job sponsorship, you're out. Second, they will cap the number of dependants that can come to 1 (they may limit this to just Nigeria). This will put a lot of people in a dilemma. Family man wey get wife and two children, who will be the dependent??.

Cc Jedisco I'd like to hear your thoughts on my points

According to Braverman we can keep them, just kick the well qualified out! Yet another daft government policy to try to win ratings. There is no solution to stop migrants other than making their lives better in their home countries and less attractive in the UK. There is too much border to build a wall around, too much vote winning potential in promising to be tough on it, and too little political will to actually try and solve it.

I think the government simply wants to have their cake and eat it. Most of those commenting on the article have no idea how much raw cash immigrant students bring into the UK economy. International students are paying twice the amount of tuition fees as locals, paying visa application fees, IHS for themselves and dependants, ontop of that, some still end up paying thousands of pounds upfront to rent accomodation.
Most Nigerians coming to the UK, don't want to live just average lives. Everybody wants to "buga" and that is good for the country's economy in the long term, because it means we're willing to put in the work and go extra to get the money.
The government is looking at cutting down on low-skilled/unskilled labor, yet, if you look at most of those low skilled jobs, they're filled by immigrants. Wasn't it just a few months ago, farmers were complaining of crops going bad in the fields because they couldn't find cheap immigrant labor to harvest them due to Brexit?

Depends on what visa... for care visa you need it for the dependant.

If this not care category then might not need so it all depends for example student dependant it is not compulsory
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by LagosismyHome(f): 11:53am On Oct 16, 2022
British people just love to complain about everything..... there are no carers, you bring carers then the next song is why are they mainly immigrants .... yawn .

Few months ago flights were cancelled up and down due to lack of staffs in the airport, now you have a potential influx of dependent that can work in the airport, another complain that they are too much but yet you are making record figures in IHS and Visa fees. .... few years ago UNi were complaining of enrollment been down

Just sit and calculate 10 years or 5 years path to ilr and see the eye watering amount for even a family of 4

Make people leave UK with their country . Let see how UK can really trive and grow without human capital . They talk that people are coming here for benefit yet there are many other countries with better benefit . Maybe they need to be taught a lesson. ... They complain just too much .

Leave them let there be no carer, no airport staffs, no fruit pickers, no drivers, no doctors ... let there be no staff so we can hear word
