timesuploaded: Please don't deceive yourself, Nigeria of yesterday is different from Nigeria of today. Majority of the successful elder state men/women and big men/women running the shot in the country all studied abroad. People travel abroad to learn new things, you can't stay in one place and see things differently especially a situation in the country where a lot of people are comfortable with the idea that the work of government is to build roads and bridges. You think it's easy to start up a business in the country presently? Most successful and creative people in the country were once living abroad and they brought home their experiences from developed countries and now they are enjoying. For example Nairamally studied abroad he has a lot of contacts he made which I believe has helped him in he's musical career same with Don jazzy etc and including bloggers, technocrats etc. I use God beg you, if you have the resources to send your kids abroad please do. The nonsense style of political administration in the country does it encourage developmental growth? |

Studying in the UK is not a myth. Their education system is far advanced than in Nigeria. That and Nigeria doesn't really inspire much confidence, particularly when you consider that the people at the helm of all affairs in Nigeria didn't really do much education to start with. |

timesuploaded:I know of hundreds of people that fry akara on the road side. They don't make 15k or 25k daily. If they make that much, Nigerians will be fighting for space beside road to fry and sell akara. Nigerians will not pass over a chance to make over half a million a month no matter how dirty the job. And who told u graduates don't fry akara for living, see below and cure your ignorance. https://www.nairaland.com/2954106/graduate-university-abuja-frying-akara https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/09/video-why-i-chose-frying-akara-over-white-collar-job-%E2%88%92godsend-kalu-economics-graduate%EF%BF%BC/ I repeat don't paint unnecessary rosy picture of Nigeria, u are not trying to impress anybody. That was how u guys over hyped the Uber/bolt business, claiming bogus amounts as daily turnover, u can make 50k per day blablabla......Some people took loan and rushed into the business without due diligence. It's 2 yrs now, how far? |

EngrKemp:They did not destroy the economy. The economy is even better now. Inspite of the high conversation rate Nigerians are still paying. The application rate has increased compared to the past. Meaning Nigerians have more money than before. The Nigerian economy presently is the best in the world. People actually own things. In America or Europe you own nothing. You are just a slave working in the slave ship |

2Radii:In naija alone? And you believe it? Washing toilet is ever not bad. Washing old people or problem that are sick. This is the only job that’s always readily available in UK.. Shithole was part of bad names Igbos was calling Nigeria during the biafra thing.. Only few countries on earth are better than Nigeria in reality, even with the high rate of corruption.. I have no problem with Japa. Nigeria loves traveling. It has always been like that since way back. But UK is one overrated country. Except you’re extremely lucky, which is just the same as it is everywhere else.. If I have 10m to spend in traveling, I rather go to Namibia to set up a business and be going to UK on a tourist visa. |

timesuploaded:I really enjoyed your write up and all your submissions presented so far. Well done!!! Nigeria will surely be great again! However, you recent post (this I am quoting) is turning your thread to state of compelling people, instead of allowing them to read in between lines, weigh pros and cons and finally make informed decision for themselves. This is not healthy! Peace |

gly:I know these people very well. I lived abroad for 10 years. All they do is mock Nigerians back home thinking they are better off when they know they are not. They jump on any negative news to justify why they left. Don't feel any sympathy for them. Check very well, they started the insult because that's all they can do when you tell them the truth that pains them to the bone, nobody will insult me and get away with it |

Lo and behold I earned much more than him in the same industry. So,one day, he came to me very worried that his pay was not what he was expecting and i told him if I were in his shoes,I would have used the same money he spent in UK to invest in something far better than going to the UK to study and later came back here and be hustling with us. Today, the guy dey Abuja here dey sell car. |

The OP is the same as Muna*moqel from travel section. He has always been yapping this nonsense since in Travel section. After he was bursted there, he created a new username to continue this nonsense on politics section. Take this nonsense thread to Travel section and see how they will roast him there. He will flee from the thread. He actually tried severally to immigrate to the UK via several means but was denied, hence he has tried every means to deceive people with good intentions to travel to UK. Take him serious at your own peril. |

Basalt:1)Why not build the duplex in Germany. 2) the money that was used in traveling can be used to start something here and make same or better momey like you doing. Every body approach is different, you can't have 10m and use it all for student visa abroad ( Nigeria no worst reach that level ) . Last last we go all dey alit |

GeneralPula:I disagree. As early as 2013, the exchange rate wasn't this bad and we weren't producing 95% (not even 50%) of what we consume. USA is the greatest consuming nation in the world. The trick is to ensure mass exportation by leveraging our comparative advantage like oil, agriculture, entertainment, and minerals. 10% of our mineral resources alone is enough to increase our current FDI by 70% in 4-5 years. We don't have to locally produce our phones or laptops if we don't have the brains to do that. |
