ThebestPromise:
They said he did not haveva manifesto and now he has presented one. I would have expected you to present your candidate's own. You can critic his work plan instead of the plenty talks
How does the manifesto promises compare with his looting and failures in Lagos since 1999? Is that not what smart Nigerians should dohuh

Realdeals:
1. The first governor to present a billion Naira state budget in Nigeria.

2. He phased out the shift system in Lagos schools in three months. He built functional classrooms to absorb those who only attend schools for three hours a day.

3. He opened up what is now known as the Lekki Corridor.

4. He built the biggest Housing estate by a state government at Abesan, along with five other estates.

5. He built LASU, LACOED, LASPOTECH and Technical schools to absorb the products of the free education policy.

6 He built General Hospitals and Health centers in all the five divisions of Lagos. He also upgraded General Hospital Ikeja to the Medical arm of LASU.

7. He created the Agric hub at Oko Oba. He also created similar hubs in Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.

8. His government’s strict adherence to the party manifesto of Free Education, Free Health care, Rural integration and Housing for all, along with other UPN governors, created the largest pool of human resources in Nigeria.

9. He moved the Lagos State Government Secretariat from PWD to Alausa, which he built from scratch. He also lived in his personal house and drove his personal car throughout his tenure.

SB2020:
Interesting facts about Addis Ababa and Lagos light rail projects.

Addis Ababa / Lagos
Cost == $475Million / $1.2Billion
Length == 34km / 27km
Time to Complete == 4years / 7years (projected)
Year Awarded == 2011 / 2008 (Construction began 2010)
Contractor == China Railway Eng. Corp (CREC) /Chinese Civil Eng. Constr. Coy (CCECC)
Population == 5Million / 20Million

Ethiopia has managed to deliver Sub-Saharan Africa’s first modern light rail project which opened in the capital Addis Ababa on Sunday, and in the process, beat Lagos whose own rail project remains four years behind schedule.

Ethiopia’s rail project was delivered on time, despite its being longer than the Lagos – Badagry rail line currently under construction.

Addis Ababa’s two line 34-kilometre system was built by the China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC) and cost $475m, 85 percent of which has been covered by China’s Exim bank. The Lagos Light Rail Project or Blue on Badagry Expressway, was to have 13 stations from Okokomaiko to Marina via Iddo for a total of 27 kilometres.

The contract was awarded to the Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) at the cost of $1.2 billion in 2008, and was to be delivered in 2011. Survey work took one year between August 2009 and August 2010 while construction began July 2010.

The work is being implemented using the public and private partnership (PPP) model, whereby the state builds the infrastructure and the private sector provides the rolling stock and management. However, the project has not worked out according to the plan.
The 2011 deadline was missed, even though the State government got a loan to fund the project.

Do you know the most amazing thing about Peter Obi? He is a living Manifesto. Unlike Atiku parading a Third Party Manifesto with Obi’s input, our man is dishing out all his wonderful ideas from the top of his head. Waziri is no match for Obi. Can you give what you don’t have?

How?
From where?
There aren’t enough funds being earned by Nigeria because the nation is economically incapacitated.
This is a promise that will fail because he won’t be able to achieve it.

Anyone that wants to be President should not just make blanket statements. If you are going to allocate more funds, please tell us how you will achieve this. How the country earn this funds. Is it coming from more tax or reduction in public spending waste. Or we are increasing oil export or we are saving on refining

How the F*CK is Nigeria going to earn more money he is promising to allocate to States and LGs.

Very good move Sir but you and me know you would not do it because of the Govs we have.

Again, you have never been a proponent of LG Autonomy.
Fergie001, this isn't true. Lagos has one of the best if not the best standard with regards to how LGs are run.

Secondly, it is in the interest of Governors to push for an increase in the share of funds coming to them from the Federation. Now, whether they use the money judiciously or not is a story for another day.

The two train system travel over entirely different terrains. Also the capital of Ethiopia has the same government at the centre. This was not so in lagos till 2015 where rights of way had to negotiated with multiple families and federal agencies. Negotiating rights of ways is extremely time consuming and expensive.

Using simple distance of the track does not take into account the extent to which the lagos track has to travel on elevated runways much of which is over water.

Apples and lemons..

Let's be grateful that we will have a functional intermodal bus, train, waterways and light rail transportation system.

Are you aware that you can charge him to court if you are sure of the fact you just posted?? If Lagos was poor why are people going their daily for greener pastures?? Incase you dont know or have forgotten, ex governor has no immunity, and hence he should have been prosecuted coupled with the fact that he was in opposition??

Before you mention Alpha Beta, kindly note that Alpha Beta is in more than 20 states. Nothing stops him from using his intellectual properties to make money.

You are not correct.
Giving more money to the LGs will not make the State Govs not hijack it as it is been done now by all Governors, I mean all.

Every month, the FG tells you how much they give States from FAAC, have you seen any Gov publish how much they give to LGAs?
The Govs will fight LG Autonomy like they have always done.

In his younger days as a Governor, he was one of those who also didn't support it. Do you know that of all the States that have submitted their resolutions on the Constitutional Amendment Bill Lagos State is the only State that rejected LG Autonomy Bill?

That should tell you something.

Grateful for being deprived of the basics of governance that are taken for granted in lesser cities than Lagos? Suffering and smiling is really real.

But do you know it has happened before? It was changed during Jonathan regim by the governors

reiddecuti:
If LG can't be made a standalone from the state to enable them function to full capacity, then this is another scam.

And also the judiciary...
