This dangote better satisfy the Nigerian market, first.

The supply should so much that the prices crashes in Nigeria.

Any artificial supply controls should be resisted by the govt.

By the way, this refinery actually positions Nigeria officially as the most industrialised black nation on Earth, with no competitor.

According to wiki:

''The Dangote Refinery is an oil refinery owned by Aliko Dangote that is under construction in Lekki, Nigeria. When completed, it is expected to have the capacity to process about 650,000 barrels per day of crude oil, making it the largest single-train refinery in the world. The investment is over 25 billion US dollars.

High complexity

The Dangote Oil Refinery will have a Nelson complexity index of 10.5 which means that it will be more complex than most refineries in the United States (average 9.5) or Europe (average 6.5).

(The Nelson complexity index basically increases with the number and capacity of chemical procedures after the distillation, e.g. hydrocracking, NHT, CCR, RFCC, polymerization etc.)

At full production, the facility will process about 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily, transported via pipelines from oil fields in the Niger Delta, where natural gas will also be sourced to supply the fertilizer factory and be used in electrical generation for the refinery complex.

This corresponds with 50,000,000 litres (13,000,000 US gal) of Euro-V quality gasoline and 17,000,000 litres (4,500,000 US gal) of diesel daily, as well as aviation fuel and plastic products.

With a greater capacity than the total output of Nigeria's existing refining infrastructure, the Dangote Refinery will be able to meet the country's entire domestic fuel demand, as well as export refined oil and petroleum products.

Its time Nigerians stopped expecting much from the dangote refinery. Dangote is a crooked bussiness man who thrives only on monopoly. No amount of profit is enough for a bussiness man like him and hence the tendency that noting serious will happen when the refinery start operation..this is evident from the way he handles the sugar and cement industry. He owns a cement plant in kogi but cement is more expensive in kogi than in kano where it's being exported to.

Emeka, focus on the insecurity in the EAST. Leave our Dangote alone.

DeGLORIOUS:
I don't have any hope of things getting better for the country even with the completion of the refinery. The price may not be even different from what we are facing. The price of his cement is a prove of that. Until we receive sense to see ourselves as one, we will continue to grob amidst abundance.

Since over 70% of all our import is on oil and gas and now that dangote is coming up, what happens to our naira?
I.e ,70% less dollar will be spent and 70% more naira will be spent but this time in Nigeria through export. We now v more money brought into the country in naira.
I.e, naira will start appreciating against other stronger currencies like $€£,
Other 30% import will be just minimal .
Pressure on naira will be less and naira will become more robust.

So, in all pls analyst where do u see our exchange rate to USD?

I'm postulating 107 naira to 1USD...

Foolish Nigerians that say Ghana is better because cedis is stronger than Naira but don't know cedis is also stronger than the Japanese yen and South Korean Won.

Exchange rate doesn't make a country bigger or small than the other.

So they are not even building it for Nigerians!! They re building for Ghana, and we get to foot their bills?
