The viability and economic importance of Dangote refinery simply proves that the failure of Nigeria's refineries were acts of deliberate and criminal sabotage sustained over several administrations, military and civilian.

There is more t the destruction of Nigeria as a nation than meets the eye.

This dangote better satisfy the Nigerian market, first.

The supply should so much that the prices crashes in Nigeria.

Any artificial supply controls should be resisted by the govt.
It's our resources.

You can't use our crude to satisfy your thirst for foreign dollars at our expense.

With Dangote refinery coming on stream and Obi in Aso rock, Nigeria would be on its way to truly becoming a great nation.

An old, sick and corrupt man like Tinubu should never be any country's president. Nigerians have already rejected him but we will continue fooling him that he stands any chance so he can bring out some of his loot.
If is not for Asiwaju, there will be no Dangote Refinery in Lekki.

I don't have any hope of things getting better for the country even with the completion of the refinery. The price may not be even different from what we are facing. The price of his cement is a prove of that. Until we receive sense to see ourselves as one, we will continue to grob amidst abundance.
The price cannot drop because it has to align with the world market price of fuel, otherwise it will fuel smuggling and they will be running at a loss
The only difference will be importation cost and the effect on our FX

I am not saying he is a saint or not stealing from the state oo, but let’s be realistic the kind of development going on in Lagos is not happening in any state in Nigeria, do you know how much only Lekki sea port cost? Not to mention Blue rail and lekki international airport and other mighty projects.

Let’s not deceive ourselves Sanwolu is giving his best to Lagos state regardless of party and political affiliation always try to acknowledge someone that’s working it won’t kill you to do that grin grin

This is a single individual building a brand new refinery from the scratch, yet government with huge resources couldn't maintain her 4 existing refineries. Who do us in this nation?
Honestly, Nigeria has no business in oil importation, but because of high corruption in high places, they left the oil sector to die so that they can feed on the huge returns from their corrupt practices through importation of oil. What a country!

Thank God that Obi is coming

By the way, this refinery actually positions Nigeria officially as the most industrialised black nation on Earth, with no competitor.

According to wiki:

''The Dangote Refinery is an oil refinery owned by Aliko Dangote that is under construction in Lekki, Nigeria. When completed, it is expected to have the capacity to process about 650,000 barrels per day of crude oil, making it the largest single-train refinery in the world. The investment is over 25 billion US dollars.

High complexity

The Dangote Oil Refinery will have a Nelson complexity index of 10.5 which means that it will be more complex than most refineries in the United States (average 9.5) or Europe (average 6.5).

(The Nelson complexity index basically increases with the number and capacity of chemical procedures after the distillation, e.g. hydrocracking, NHT, CCR, RFCC, polymerization etc.)

At full production, the facility will process about 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily, transported via pipelines from oil fields in the Niger Delta, where natural gas will also be sourced to supply the fertilizer factory and be used in electrical generation for the refinery complex.

This corresponds with 50,000,000 litres (13,000,000 US gal) of Euro-V quality gasoline and 17,000,000 litres (4,500,000 US gal) of diesel daily, as well as aviation fuel and plastic products.

With a greater capacity than the total output of Nigeria's existing refining infrastructure, the Dangote Refinery will be able to meet the country's entire domestic fuel demand, as well as export refined oil and petroleum products.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangote_Refinery

Nigeria need more than the Dangote refinery to be industrialised, Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone (OOGFZ) has more industrial infrastructures, and that hasn't materialised in transforming Nigeria into an industrialised country. Government must invest in broadband, rail and electricity.
