Kaysalas:My types, where? Who are my types? You mistake for one to get scared off because of bland words online. Better ignore me quick enough, because nothing you say will stop me from quoting you if I deem it fit. You're on the Internet, bro. |

Kaysalas: I am saying reason with common sense. Peter Obi was one of the biggest importers to Africa. Meaning, he was a large scale exporter for decades from Europe. That is the exportation experience he is bringing. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by Kaysalas(m): 11:08am On Oct 28, 2022 |
quote author=TheGoodJoe post=117937379]When people say Peter Obi knows importation and not exporting, it sounds funny to me. The things Peter Obi imported into Africa we're EXPORTED from Europe. That means he is totally grounded in exportation and knows how healthy exporting systems work.[/quote] TheGoodJoe:Now, see why I said many of you supporting Obi, just like him are half witted? Obi imports from Europe, doesn't mean he exported the same goods from Europe. It is the manufacturers of those goods who did the Exporting while Obi did the importing of the same goods. Obi cannot export goods from Europe because he doesn't have a manufacturing company in Europe from which to do such. Stop yarning crap. It is getting really irritating |

SmartyPants:Don't mind them, see the very terrible defense they are putting up for him. I just taya |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:10am On Oct 28, 2022 |
SmartyPants: By increasing demands for our goods as he did by plugging gaps in market by exporting needed goods to Africa. These countries he imported from still import goods in large scale from countries like China and Vietnam. These countries need raw materials too and we can feed that market. That will make us less a consumption nation. A BETTER NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE WITH PETER OBI. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by Kaysalas(m): 11:12am On Oct 28, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:I really did wish you had that common sense, but unfortunately, you don't. So because he imports goods from Europe, he is automatically the exporter from Europe as well. Chai! ![]() |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:14am On Oct 28, 2022 |
Kaysalas:Please, that bolded lacks logic. How can Peter Obi import something from Europe, when he was based in Europe and exporting the goods from Europe? In Africa, we see Peter Obi as an importer. To the Europeans, he was exporting their goods from their country. Meaning he was an exporter. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:15am On Oct 28, 2022 |
Kaysalas:Yes. How is he not an exporter? He sourced for the goods in Europe. Worked out the logistics to get them to the shores. Paid to transport them out of Europe. My brother, that is exportation. And Peter Obi was exporting for decades. Finito. |

| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by SmartyPants(m): 11:17am On Oct 28, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:Exporting raw materials will not take us from consumption to production in any way. We will still be stuck in the cycle of exporting raw materials and importing finished goods. The only way to become a producing nation is by adding value to raw materials. Now that is easier said than done so I want to understand the plan. Especially when PO has already said he will pursue contractionary monetary policies which will create a difficult,t environment for investors and business people. Besides, are you answering for Peter Obi or are you referencing something he said? If the second, please point me to the source if you don't mind. |

Kaysalas:No, you're the dumb one here for failing to grasp a simple explanation. ![]() And you know that Obi is not in direct contact with the manufacturers of those foreign goods? It is not plausible to you that a person who is importing to one country can double as an exporter for another country? ![]() |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by Kaysalas(m): 11:18am On Oct 28, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:Your case is irredeemable. So Obi who claimed to be a distributor is now based in Europe exporting oyinbo their goods. Wallow in your ignorance bro. Cheers ![]() |

aujile:I swear. No be their fault na. Shey it's Obi that made himself accessible to the public, that's why they are all putting only his own ideas and thoughts to the chopping block. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:20am On Oct 28, 2022 |
Kaysalas:Peter Obi was based in Europe. Got loans to grow his exportation business in Europe. He was not living in Nigeria to import goods. He was living in Europe and sourced the funds from Europe. He was an exporter. |

SmartyPants:Peter Obi has interviews littered all over the internet. You can listen to them to get ideas of his plans. I can not start scrolling through videos upon videos to get snippets for you. I have summarized the few I can. Secondly, Peter Obi never said we will export only raw materials. He has repeatedly hammered about the production capacity of Aba and how they can perform well producing goods in mass to meet international market demands. As for raw materials, he has highlighted about Taraba and others meeting demands of raw materials. Finally, he is a highly experienced exporter from Europe and did it for decades. I am not speaking for Peter Obi but expanding his points. Finito. |

Freethinker87:Oga you've made your point, stop all this unnecessary finger pointing, this is politics, a lot of propaganda is involved. I support Obi too, but I respect other people's choice. If they throw propaganda our way, it's our job to dispell it, not to start insulting opposing voices. We're not exactly innocent too, ya know? Tonyebarcanista has every right to support whomever he wants to and in whatever way. This is politics. |

This is ridiculous! Drab response. So, a bandit earning between a million or 3 in an operation will now go to farm for 50k Well, he reasons like his supporters or vice versa. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by SmartyPants(m): 11:30am On Oct 28, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:This is what I want to understand. Never have I seen him address this point. What exactly will he do that others have not done, to scale these local production efforts? It's a really simple question. And what does being an exporter from Europe have to do with expanding local production?? |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:32am On Oct 28, 2022 |
RexTramadol1:The foot soldiers of these bandits with guns are not the ones collecting millions. They are workers who earn little because they have nothing. Unlike many, Peter Obi took the efforts to hear from them first hands. And most caught are earn little for their bosses. If these youths are gainfully employed, these bosses can not use their meagre sum to make these boys do their dirty work that earn their bosses billions. Finito. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by begoniaa: 11:32am On Oct 28, 2022 |
SmartyPants:From this interview, one way: by boosting and encouraging food production. Insecurity and banditry have sent farmers away from the farms, and so we are left dealing with the attending problems of that. Weak local markets, propped by importation, high cost of food, etc. When he deals with banditry and insecurity, more farmers are able to return to their farms and they'll produce more goods, both for our consumption and exportation. |

RexTramadol1:Calm down. You don speak to bandits before? ![]() Person tell you say he go prison go interview them, you dey argue. You know these bandits are usually in numbers? With "nwa boys" under them? So after the big fishes don't collect the lion share, watin go remain for them baby cubs na? Dem go buy operation tools too o. And dem go settle "blind olopas" for a successful mission. So, calculate am, if you be (entry-level) bandit, how much go reach you? |

| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:36am On Oct 28, 2022 |
SmartyPants: What will he do different? 1. He will cut out lots of bottlenecks that stop people from going into production. Insecurity Power Access to funds (Peter Obi's business scaled because of a loan he got without collateral from a bank in London) Reduce unnecessary taxes that hinders production. Etc. Open more ports and allow them import and export easily. 2. Peter Obi has first hand contacts with companies with high production capacities and has worked with them for decades. He understands the nuts and bolts that goes from utilizing raw materials to exporting them. It is this kind of modus operandi he wants to transfer to our system. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by SmartyPants(m): 11:40am On Oct 28, 2022 |
begoniaa:Cheers, thats a good start but ultimately nowhere near the final answer. When we deal with insecurity, we'll merely return to our normal pre-insurgency agricultural output. That is enough to feed the nation but that wont make us net producers. How do wr get to the point where we begin to become major producers in agriculture? It must be done by value addition not mere farming. That will happen when we can turn a basket of tomatoes into a carton of tinned tomatoes. So again, what is the plan for this? |

| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:46am On Oct 28, 2022 |
SmartyPants:These things are in phases but you provide business avenues. Make importation easier. Make access to funds for production available. Boost the power sector which reduces cost of production. These will drive the production system. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Response When Asked How To Make Nigeria Productive (Video) by SmartyPants(m): 11:49am On Oct 28, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:Your first point is great. Point 2, is less credible. I mean if he's had such contacts and hasn't used them to build anything of note even while he was governor, that doesn't tell well. But let's look at your point number one because you have hit the nail on the head. a. Insecurity. This is a tough one and he isn't telling us how he will do it so we can't be sure he really has a plan. b. Power. I need not tell you how many people have promised and failed to fix power. How will he do it differently? c. Access to funds. This is actually why I asked if you're speaking for Obi or quoting him because Obi has clearly said he will pursue tighter monetary policies. Under such, the CBN will issue very high-interest rates which make it more attractive for people to save and not invest, and those seeking loans for investment will face discouragingly high-interest rates too. So maybe you need to teach Mr Obi some economics! |
