Hard to believe that the CBN governor who is under the Ministry of Finance would start to redesign the Naira without the approval of his boss, the Minister of Finance.

if you've not realized that Nigeria is on autopilot, you're a long thing.

The CBN needs to be moved from Abuja to Lagos; the Supreme Court be moved from Abuja to Enugu; the national assembly be moved from Abuja to Ibadan; the naval headquarters be moved to Porthacourt, the army headquarters be moved to Kaduna, and the airforce headquarters be moved to Abeokuta. INEC headquarters be moved to Lokoja; NNPC headquarters be moved to Uyo; customs headquarters be moved to Lagos; DSS command be moved to Auchi.
We need to decentralize this damn country. This country is designed to keep the federating units esnalved to the cabals in Abuja,people who do not know us nor care about us. Enough is enough.

Each state needs to have their own education policy and capacity for accrediting schools and university in their jurisdiction (with the federal government only providing broad guidelines and serving in a consultative capacity.

States need to have the ability to generate their own power or opt to join the national grid.

States need to be able to control their own resources and pay something to the federal government and not the other way round.

States need to have their own respective constitutions, police, and national guards.

States in a region need to be subordinated to a regional government, which coordinates the joint affairs of each region so that the respective regions can speak with one voice.

We need to have a part time national assembly that meets for a specific times in a year and ad hoc.

There need to be a referendum clause in the constitution.

It needs to be clear that Nigeria is a secular state. The state is supposed to be absolutely neutral in matters of religion and faith.

Enough is enough. We need to liberate our country from the hands of foreign marauders, who have hijacked our government and are bent on controlling our lives and stifling our dreams.

For your information, the CBN is an independent organisation and has no association with the Nigerian government.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you guys are Nigerians. Do you think the CBN governor can take an action without the President being aware or even the president being the source of the command? Why can't you call for the sack of the head than the hand?

Some Nigerians created this confusion some years back because of the hatred some people mainly from a particular region had for intellect and finesse. While admitting that the woman's greatest strength is her closeness to El - Rufai who is a genius, but El - Rufai cannot be available to mentor her on economic and monetary policies all the time.

CBN has constitutional power over monetary policy. Senator Opeyemi Bamidele should know that the fact that naira depreciates just within two days of announcement is the more reason we should applaud CBN for that redesigning. At the long run, naira would return back to normal value or even appreciates.

Except those buying dollars with stashed naira are buying it from banks, BDCs would create artificial exchange rate for naira not only to dollar but to GBP and Euro because of increase in demand for those currencies by those who have stashed naira in large quantities and the stress of changing the naira at Banks. This is just a temporary issue. There are lots of gain from the redesigning.

As the finance minister, she should know that what Godwin is about to do is long overdue

It is a move that will affect everybody. Now what they are saying is that every naira cash in circulation should be returned,once they withdraw,CBN will pump out few naira notes ,it won't be up to the amount they with ,they will make cash very scarce ,then will force people to start using their enaira wallet

But it's in the news already so this level of ignorance is off putting...

Come to think of it, if 80% of Nigeria currency are outside banks, we can look at it in two ways:
1. We now have many POS agent instead of going to bank and some of these monies are withdrew by POS agents in order to bring it close to people.

2. Some people are now afraid of failure of banks to secure our money from cyber fraud. Some money are withdrawn without the approval or consent of the owner. So, don't tell me if N500k is withdrawn from a particular customer's bank account and such person cannot get it back, if he or she have 1M he can never put it in the bank again.

3. Our Polibribery candidates have stacked billions of naira to buy elections.

Mumu people among our leaders will not think in these directions.
