Just imagine what a bus driver goes through in a day from this picture.
We have not added the wear and tear on the vehicles from the bad roads, spare parts dealers, mechanics, panel beaters all waiting to reap him off.
The fear of him losing his vehicle to auction if he offends a LASTMA official who could falsely accuse him of taking one way if he doesn't comply with extortion.
I have done conductor work, I have not added the insults and abuse from unruly passengers who will bring N1000 note at the end of a journey of N50 and asking you for change and ready to fight and inflict injury on you because of their own frustration.

Are we even going to talk about the herdsman that his cow ran into the road and was killed by a bus, the driver was stabbed to death by the herdsman in Lagos and till now nothing has been done as per the matter.

My brother, lagosians are solidly behind this warning strike, though passengers bears the pains.
Tinubu's agberos, lastma n vio are killing commercial driver- bread winners in Lagos slowly.

Time to counter everything that Tinubu's evil economic has turned a sane Lagos to

On my areas, agberos now stop trekkers, private cars to force money out from them.

There shall soon be fight between agberos and private car owners, very soon.

They have not called it off, I experienced it today and the price has been hiked by more than 250%. My car is at the mechaniccry. The meeting between the drivers and rep of the state government ended in a deadlock

I'm not surprised. Mc Oluomo and his boys are killing those Bus drivers.
Imagine paying 100 naira at every main bus stop and 50 naira at every minor bus stop even without picking passengers.

How much are they earning that they pay such?
Omonile is killing Lagos and Tinubu gave them the key.

I know the planned strike will end in futility because it's not all of them that's will participate knowing fully well that some families depend on the daily income and some have daily/weekly contributions that they must pay.

The news says the Lagos transport workers strike will start today but it seems that nothing of such is happening. Have they called it off or is it starting tomorrow instead as some are saying?

My wife owns a school in Anthony. All teachers are in school with no complaints. There may be isolated areas, I don't know but lagos is functioning smoothly. It is impossible to call a strike of this nature when these people make their money daily. Lagos is not imo state. Here everyone is hussling. Lahos is a commercial city.

Thia is why Nigerians should vote right. The bus drivers are kicking against extortion by MC Oluomo and his goons. Oluomo is backed by Tinubu and Sanwoolu, APC. Do what is right. ENDSARS it was Police, ASUU did their fight for 8 months, now it's bus drivers. We need to say no to a failed party system

Actually, there is. Buses have stopped picking up passengers and its gonna be a long endurance trekking.

Enough of some idiot collecting money in lagos and spending it recklessly. Let drivers pay their dues normally. Nd not with the use of this illetrate miscreants.

Most of the monies collected from passengers by drivers go to agberos. If you have noticed an astronomical increase in costs of transportation in Lagos recently (that is, before the strike), it is because the agberos have greately increased the fees they collect from drivers. This is the primary reason for the strike.

The bus drivers are actually fighting for you, because the final cost comes down to you the passenger.

On the bolded, I disagree. All of them are the same. Simple. Some private drivers pick up passengers and collect almost the same fare without paying the touts.

Then don't you think that since private drivers are not paying agberos, they should be charging less?
