From the above scriptures when juxtaposed with Matthew 24 v 36-41. We can clearly establish that the sinners were destroyed (or taken away) by the flood.

Jesus likened his coming, and the accompanying destruction (the wrath of the Lamb on the day of the Lord) with the days of Noah and Lot.

And you can see in Luke 17 v 37 - Jesus made it abundantly clear what the fate of those TAKEN AWAY would be. They would be carcasses which would be fed upon by the birds of the air.

Compare with Revelation 19 v 17-18;
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.


HOWEVER, desperately unlettered and unscholarly bible thumping folks like CaptMarvel have read Matthew 24 and Luke 17, quote some verses out of the context of the chapter to tell us;

1. The sinners were the ones TAKEN AWAY in the days of Noah BUT, the righteous would be ones TAKEN AWAY at the coming of the Son of Man.

2. That Luke 17 v 18 refers to a great feast prepared for the righteous. I pray tell, why would God even use a carcass (not even unclean animal) in the figurative sense to feed the righteous? How re-tarded can one get to rush into this kind of conclusion?

This is really mind-boggling. The lack of understanding on straightforward things like this really makes me fear for the average Nigerian Christian.

1. Where did Jesus promise he would come for believers before the great tribulation? Book, Chapter & Verse
2. Where did Jesus in Matthew 24 refer to the flood in Noah's time as some sort of tribulation? Chapter and Verse
3. In all of Apostle John's vision of Heaven, where did he see believers that escaped the great tribulation through rapture? Chapter and Verse

4. If the "LAST TRUMPET" is blown before the great tribulation, are the 7 trumpets in the book of Revelation and the one in Matthew 24 v 29-31 Trumpets after the "LAST TRUMPET"?

1. The Foolish Virgins, what happened to them after the bridegroom shut the door? Did they still enter some time later? What did the bridegroom say to them?

2. We know that at the Rapture, there will be a resurrection of the dead, so how many resurrection are we excepting?

3. If the church is removed, then we know the Holy Spirit will be removed to. So if there are left behind saints, how will they be convicted of sin and turn to God, if there's no Holyspirit.... ?


4. Did Noah pass though the flood, but God protected him OR was he raptured away from the flood?

Also the Israelis at Egypt, where they raptured away from the plagues, or they were kept safe by God?
