InDriver gives you the last one, so as to give you a clear understanding of the original fare.

Wow thanks for this revelation...

Oga, there are always three options, in increasing order either with same proportion or in a series like manner.

Even if u put 10k for a 1k trip it will still give three options where the last one is about 12k.

If u put 2k for 5k trip, d last option will be less than 3,500.

So those options gat nothing to do with the real or ideal fare. It's a function of the fare quoted by the Rider.

Who should we now believe Gabrinch or Norhbird?.. All POV is highly appreciated.

After reading all the arguments and counter arguments, the best solution remains to have a good knowledge of the actual fare to that destination.

And to be honest, pearl1910 is correct. The different fares displayed are just +/- from whatever the rider imputed. I got a trip yesterday and confirmed it.
The actual price wasn’t even included among the options because the yeye rider priced it so low.

The error is inDrive allowing riders to put any amount they deem fit without any base price or even a warning.

The trip below on bolt or Rida is at least 2000-2500. But I can input 1000 on inDrive or even 500 naira if I want to. The inDrive pricing system will then give the drivers different options based on what I offered.

Are you sure of what you are saying? Did you actually try looking for a driver with your ₦500 or because you reduced fare on the app means you can actually price down recklessly. Reduce the fare and try and get a driver and let's know..
Look at the pix below, rider wants to go lower, but he/she can't, that's why the message " I want a lower fare"

I mean don't you get it " Why will a rider plead for a reduction in fare when he/she can arbitrarily do that without any permission" It means there is a system in place to check out against abuse of that negotiation privilege grin "

We don't know what your argument is. Bolt gave him health insurance to go get quality hospital care for free.

Is that not Bolt that gave him the treat? So, if I take a girl out, does that mean since I'm not the chef that cooked the food, therefore, I couldn't have been the one that gave her a treat?

Yes, you can price down recklessly. Same 2500 trip, I’ve priced it to 500 naira.

Like I said, the only solution is for the driver to have a knowledge of the actual amount.

Did the app allow to launch a search for a driver? because from the page, it's asking you to raise the fare. Moreover, you didn't show us the recommended fare.

Abuja price seems different from Lagos by far, you can't price rubbish in Lagos right now ... The app will reject it

Simple..... sojiie... So you tried to go down and the app refused ba?

If you notice from the metrics of the 1st trip, it's roughly 6km, ₦300/km, that's like 1.5 surge on Bolt. and off course, you are landing in a good area. Magodo, to exit with another good trip

No matter how you think you can rubish the price. It is will still remain one if there is surge on other platform. They are actually tapping from there system to determine there pricing

Trip from Gbagada to VI
Picture 1...notice recommended price is 3,100 but I inputed 2,600

Picture 2...that's a driver bidding for 3,400. Meaning that amount is an option on his own screen. Most likely the last option.

Picture 3...I increased fare to 3,600. Bear in mind recommended fare is still 3,100
But u can see a driver choosing 4,400, meaning that's an option for him on his screen.

So the point is d last amount isn't a good criteria or guideline to determining the correct fare for a trip. Those prices are a function of what the Rider inputs. If u dont know that Gbagada to VI should be about 3k then u will be there either picking rubbish fares by riders or grow old picking the last option while other drivers are either picking d rubbish fare or putting the ideal fare and getting picked.
Sometimes the last amount tallies with the ideal fare but that's just coincidence based on the amount the rider inputed.

If you are about to be blocked or blocked on Bolt and you are new on Indriver, and you are kind of overwhelmed by the price and all.

My advice is.

1. Calm down, have your own modus operandi and stick to it.
You must have areas where you are going to and areas you are not interested in. You don't need to bid for all rides.

Personally I don't go beyond V. I., worst case, phase 1 all that Chevron, vgc side Ajah and Co, is just laden with unnecessary traffic.

On the mainland, I can be shuttling within Maryland, Ogba, ikeja, Yaba and Unilag axis. and I still get to match up with someone who suffered to go to Ajah.
On Saturday, I didn't go beyond Yaba, bounced and skipped Island trips like kilode, and what I made on Indriver was quite substantial,... I mean very substantial, Funny thing is when I was going home, I wasn't tired, because I made sure I avoided trips that will keep me in traffic.

2. Positioning, this is one of the trade secrets, there are areas where trips are a sure banker.

3. Mental maths. Km vs time. You need to be able to cross match these two variables. In just 3 trips of around 5km each, you can hit more than someone that runs a long trip to the island under the same time.

Oga, shey you said its the price you input that will determine the price, ok put 2k price into a trip meant for 5k and see whether it will bring your purported 3.5k,

Which arguing off point, Viking07 never showed the recommended price, infact, he didn't reveal all, let him show a screenshot of the trip let's see.
Lanrexdo has proved it up there. When you doctor a trip, it will show you.

First agree that the last option isn't a reflection of the ideal price for the fare before u go on to whether u can price N500 or not.

Don't pretend to forget the main argument.

All your arguments not valid, the main issue is, if you doctor a trip abinitio, it will reflect the real fare in the options given to you.

Show us a screenshot of the recommended price given to you..
