Independence is every man's desire but what do I do when things keep playing out wrongly, roping me deeper in dependence, almost as if my every efforts do not count. Here's a short recap, I left school due to some difficulties so I could learn a skill, I've been designing graphics for the past year now hoping that I could in some way free myself from the dependence on my parents, I don't collect money from them but they shelter and feed me and make it a point to remind me that I might have had a better life right now had I been in school whereas only I alone know what I faced back in school even the thought of graduating without a skill scare the hell out of me. A few months back my laptops screen got busted and just like that I went right back to square one, no active working tool and no ongoing education (I still intend to reapply but that'll be as soon as I am certain I can tend to at least half of my educational finances). What can a man do when life keeps throwing stones and stones over and over? I really don't want to go into 2023 like this.

1. With the comments here so far, the Nigerian education system needs to be revamped. The replies may seem plausible but it superficial and don't share a hint about why there is exponential growth in the population of poor people.

2. Human consciousness, that is, deliberate thinking has been alleviated due to the advent and spontaneous improvement in science and technology thereby making us think that everything is because of the way we think or act while oblivious to the root of all these behaviour which is: evolution and genetics.

3. The reason why poor people reproduce higher is that they want to have many offspring that will survive to propagate their genes in the genetic pool. Evolution doesn't care about your science and technology. All it cares about is the successful transfer of genes from one generation to another.

4. Because poor people are poor, many of their children will not survive to adult reproductive age, hence, they reproduce at a high rate so that even though many of them don't survive to adulthood there will be few that will pass their genes.

5. Rich people don't bother reproducing at a high rate because they already have the resources that they can use to raise their offspring to adult reproductive age.

6. These behaviors are rooted in evolution, and not just conscious deliberate thinking. It happens in both rich nations and poor nations. All you need do is to take a sample of either the rich or poor in both nations.

7. In poor nations, this evolutionary behavior is then supported by conscious beliefs like:

A. It is God that gives children.
B. Children are God's blessings.
C. Every new child in the family brings prosperity to the family.

The above is a conscious belief that also has to do with low IQ and lack of wisdom. But remember: genes are acting in their best interest subconsciously.

8. So, it is expedient, for humans to become aware of their nature, behaviors, and biology and not only think that it is just our thinking that matters.

9. Yeah, the black community/Africans have the lowest IQ across the different races (you can scream for all I care), hence, their low cognitive ability. But this doesn't mean that progress and prosperity cannot be achieved. We must understand what's making us lag, and take necessary actions to assuage our condition.

10. In summary, to remain in the gene pool, poor people reproduce a higher number of children because they lack the resources to take care of a few. So, they reproduce more with the hope that few will survive. Rich people reproduce less because they have the resources and can take care of the few children and are cocksure about their survival.

Before she leave for camp I got sick and she didn’t visit. Even though she knows I’m a lone wolf I’ve got no friends whatsoever she still didn’t visit. I was admitted at the hospital for a week, while I was going through WhatsApp status on hospital bed I saw a video of her in a party having the time of her life with friends. Honestly, that evening I cried, I felt betrayed I felt so many things I don’t even understand. I had no money for hospital bills so I told her to assist me with half of it if possible and she came through with half of it sent to hospital account. When I got out we talked for 3 good days on phone before I stumbled on this thread because I was already going crazy about the whole thing. I was searching the internet for answers, I was helpless and desperately in need of what to do next. Because, at the time I thought exiting the relationship would be childish or make me look immature. Long story short, this thread changed my life. I stopped contacting her and blocked her on both lines but not WhatsApp. I was expecting her to react but she didn’t contact me too. Months past, It was almost a year before she contacted me on WhatsApp on day, and said she just gave birth to a baby girl. I treat my hustle the way I used to treat girls, I don’t play with her. As a man my worth my beauty my affluence and everything goes down to what I have. So, if you’re here to fight and argue with others, you’re doing yourself more harm than good. I reversed my game with women I deal with. Strictly making all my dealings with them transactional. This is the best way for me, It might not work for you and of course everyone is different. The way you deal with Y is gonna be different from the way you deal with Z. But, whatever I do, I do it transactional. If she wants a favor from me that I can offer. Then, I want something from her too. No matter how small, she must do something in return except she’s family. Universal blessings to all brothers in the house and enjoy your weekend. Thank you
