In this case, yes. When you can account for how properties came about, that’s when Efcc will be on your case. If you can provide evidence that you invested your salary and allowance in an legitimate investment like venture capital etc that gave you 10,000% returns, then Efcc has no case. Most of these politicians collect bribe from contractors, do a lot of dirty deals etc.

If i was a corrupt politician i will just convert all my money to crypto and have just one house. But i will fly all over the world, experience fine dining, luxury hotels, Airbnbs, expensive massages and beauty therapies etc. I am not a fan of buying houses and land. You won’t live forever.
