This is really heart breaking,
Sometimes, it will look as if the gates of hell is let open upon Africa. We're here suffering what we know next to nothing about.

Africa contributes only 3% of greenhouse emissions but bears the brunt of climate change. We need to support Africa’s Adaptation Plans (AAP). Trade is an important adaptation tool. Kudos to @PVV_GCA @akin_adesina Presidents @Macky_Sall & @EmmanuelMacron and other donors.

shocked

Like what happened today, my car broke down, and I had to trek, under the catastrophic scorching sun, to God-knows-where. At a point, I asked myself, it could be that Nigeria is really the hellfire they've been telling us in the bible or next to it. Or maybe, we were once humans that sinned unto the lord and cast down here ( hellfire sic) as our own punishment.

Amazing the continent with the least economic activity produces the lowest emissions. I wonder if there's some correlation between energy usage and economic output. Maybe there's also a correlation between the types of energy used and the types of emissions released. We'll need to conduct a 5 year 100 million dollar study to find the answer.

We need more African representatives in key positions so our voice can be heard

Nigerians should stop tribalism and the hatred towards your fellow blacks

Blacks are intelligent but unfortunately our voices are not heard and we are seen as less humans.

While you fight your brother who is Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa or any other tribal differences, while u fight for Islam or Christian, just remember that the white man only see you as one and can’t even tell a Senegalese apart from a Nigerian, you are all bloody Africans.

The Indians and Chinese have more respect than the black man from africa.
You can only earn your respect when you work together and support one another to grow, stop the hatred and oppressing your fellow black. You meet a fellow Nigerian outside the country and they snub you or not ready to support you in anyway when you reach out to them, they even start competing with you and wish you don’t succeed.

So essentially, Africans can now eat poisoned holy communion? Maybe munch it down with Agbado and Cassava, and finally get enlisted in the military?

cool

United Nations Atomic energy regulatory agencies should as a matter of urgency approve Nuclear Power programme for Nigeria

Hydro-Gas can't serve 200 million people adequately, we either use coal like the hypocritical west, or we get to use nuclear power plants too

Without electricity our economy can't compete with global standards, and without nuclear power or coal plant we can't have electricity or develop our steel industry or Ajaokuta

If Africa has been the culprit in this emission stuff, the developed world would have described the black continent with the most ridiculous of adjectives.

Imagine if COVID-19 too originated from Africa.

African leaders are permanently tied to the apron strings of their Masters. The world is rigged against the black continent.

"It is question of how do you prevent the church rat from eating poison holy communion."

I want to know what is the correlation between this statement and climate change. Is Africa the church rat? Is it not derogatory as well as insulting to call Africa church rat?

Tinubu supporters please educate me.

Post-Independence Nigeria is over 60years but still can't efficiently manage hydro and gas powered stations.. Na to run enter nuclear. That must be a joke. I'm very sure you don't know the level of technology it takes to assemble, operate and maintain a nuclear reactor. If it were that basic, every country in Europe would be powered by uranium..
To add to technological inadequacies, politics would compound the problems.
If Nigeria by any streak of luck or fortune is able to put up a nuclear reactor, one Fulani Almajiri will be made the chairman of the commission. You can then guess what that would mean.

South Africa's carbon footprint is 1.09% of the global total, meaning the rest of Africa contributes less than 2%. Yet when the time comes for punishment to be metres out, na us go suffer pass.

That's because we aren't industrialized. Not being industrialized doesn't absolve us from the blame as we still consume the end product of industrialization elsewhere. No need to play the victim card here.
