Does this means my Note 11 have been extended to 8GB ram? Didn't notice it earlier or any notable difference.

Maybe it's 2gb of Vram. You can run a ram test to see if you can use up to 8gb of ram.

How? I also saw in storage settings the 2gb was taken out of there and i have the option to cancel it. I have enough space so no issue provided it's real ram memory.

It doesn't have IR blaster, Redmi cut way too much corners on that device. I use the 4GB/128GB variant. It lacks compass too

You sabi die. Many people don't check out specs before buying. Phone without cvompass is a no no for me and that IR blaster comes handy even though i have never been lucky to have a phone that has it. My last Xiaomi was Redmi 8a. Funny enough, Redmi 7 seems better than the 8a.

You can imagine the back and forth business these guys are into, they better step up. They used to make solid devices however cheap the price is.

That is the idea of VRAM it takes out from your phone storage.

I disabled mine on my device, I didn't see any performance difference so it is more like a gimmick feature by OEMs these days

A third-party app like DevCheck will let you know all the details about the RAM type and the operating frequency. After you have installed the app, you can begin exploring. Follow the steps mentioned below:

Go to the ‘Hardware’ tab in the app.
Go to the ‘Memory’ section. This will show you the RAM type of your phone, along with the bandwidth and the channels.

it even makes your internal storage worse due to the constant writing on the internal storage. It's best to keep it off.

You were not lucky or you bought a budget phone? You guys will be hiding money but want high end features in a budget cash. The "a" is usually the least model lower than the "number" by far in the series, eg, 9, 9c, 9a, 9t is the only one with a better spec though, same goes for the 10series.

Omo this is long gan. I have like and subscribe sha. Except for someone studying for a course, very few people would watch 15 min video explaining ram extension. Unboxing a brand new phone isn't even that long. You can shorten your videos to retain interest. All the key things i needed genius43 and agentarcher already summarised in like two sentences.

I checked with Devcheck and saw the 6gb + 2g virtual ram there two. About 3gb was in used from the original 6gb ram and abou 1gb from the virtual. But didn't even total up to 6gb. I have disabled it tho, I don't think i need it.

Not really, you could actually speed up a YouTube video up to 2x speed and finish in half the time.

If you truly are interested in a topic sha, you wouldn't notice the time. I have spent 45 minutes watching people explain things on YT. But thank you for the feedback. It's very valuable.

He's actually telling you the truth.
I hate watching Nigerian YouTubers because of this, y'all just keep talking trash in your videos thereby increasing the length of the video unnecessarily. Make the video short and straight to the point and see how interesting your chanel would be.

I typed a whole paragraph and realized it wasn't worth it. There's no point. You're entitled to your opinion. Just don't quote me if I didn't request for your opinion. Thank you.

The network ic needs to be changed. Take it to raya, if you think it's worth repairing. Or just use it with wifi and put your sims in another phone.

Vram is not worth it. Except it's a dedicated 2gb ram for gaming. Which I see happening to gaming phones soon. We would start seeing specs like 8gb ram and 2gb dedicated gaming ram.

My issues with them as well. Sometimes I feel they are trying to qualify for monetization of their YouTube accounts and neglecting quality of the video.

Look at the image below and tell me what you see.

As an educated person, tell me this. Do all topics have the same length? Would you say the length of time needed to discuss say "how to buy a phone" would be the same as discussing "ARM architecture"?

Have you gone through my channel and saw that ALL THE VIDEOS WERE LONG ?
