Nigerians are not keen on this drug case issue . We haven't yet reach that level of political maturity that past criminal actions of political godfathers will play huge impact on candidate chances . Only tribal or religious crimes and allegations against politicians can change the minds of the ordinary man on the streets going to vote .
How can you be telling the ordinary man on the street that tinubu did drugs in America in the 70s and expect to take you serious

Following recent media reports that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was convicted of drug-related cases in the United States of America some years ago, a letter issued by the American Embassy in Nigeria debunking the reports has emerged.

The letter, dated February 4, 2003, with reference 011-234-1-261-0097 ext 244, and addressed to the then Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Tafa Balogun, passed through the Administrative Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos.

Festus Kayamo's explanations spoilt alot of things for BAT.....He highlighted and shared more than necessary...he told Nigerians BAT's mum was also indicted in the same case....this was totally unnecessary.

The only thing BAT's team should have done is hibernate for about a week and the noise will be minimized rather than try to defend BAT's past criminal case,....What he did was so stupid and irresponsible.

Bola Tinubu has a record linked to drugs trafficking in the US. So, Dino Melaye is right and Festus Keyamo is wrong. I therefore call on Mr Bola Tinubu to step forward and admit to his criminal record. Now, our next president must be someone without any bad record.

That is because he did no drugs but his bank account was used and he was cleared by the court when the dirty $460,000 dollars was taken out of his $1.4m.
