Bassey was substituted then Ajax let in 2 goals. I am happy Bassey won't take the fall this week. The supporters now recognise how immense Bassey has been for them. |

I pray that Frank Onyeka grace will find Nwakali. Hopefully one day he (Nwakali) will play against real footballers. Amen. Frank the tank is an immense talent. Let the disrespect stop today!! @supernerd. |

charlesemeka85:Fantastic. The new coach believes in him not yanking him off for Pino every 60 or 70 minutes. He needs consistency in playing time after that his last injury. I am happy the new coach has found a way to start him and Pino instead of substituting them for each other like Emery. Arsenal is watching!! |

There are also spaces for defenders Calvin Bassey and Kevin Akpoguma, midfielders Ayodele-Aribo and Alex Iwobi, and forwards Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen. Wing back Tyronne Ebuehi makes a long-awaited return to the fold, as hard-as-nails midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo. Defenders Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi Samuel (based in Portugal and Turkey respectively) are called up for the first time. Forward Paul Onuachu also returns to the three-time African champions. Thursday’s encounter at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon will kick off at 18.45pm Portugal time (19.45pm in Nigeria) Goalkeepers: Maduka Okoye (Watford FC, England); Francis Uzoho (AC Omonia, Cyprus); Adebayo Adeleye (Hapoel Jerusalem, Israel) Defenders: William Ekong (Watford FC, England); Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa); Calvin Bassey (Ajax FC, The Netherlands); Kevin Akpoguma (TSG Hoffenheim, Germany); Chidiebube Duru (Rivers United); Tyronne Ebuehi (Empoli FC, Italy); Bruno Onyemaechi (Boavista FC, Portugal); Bright Osayi Samuel (Fenerbahce FC, Turkey) Midfielders: Joseph Ayodele-Aribo (Southampton FC, England); Alex Iwobi (Everton FC, England); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Frank Onyeka (Brentford FC, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (Aris Thessaloniki, Greece) Forwards: Moses Simon (Nantes FC, France); Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal FC, Spain); Ademola Lookman (Atalanta FC, Italy); Terem Moffi (Lorient FC, France); Paul Onuachu (Genk FC, Belgium); Victor Osimhen (SSC Napoli, Italy); Emmanuel Dennis (Nottingham Forest, England) |

fabyom:What disrespect? Is this below the immense display we witnessed today? Same game I saw? All he did was run around and do his pressing jobs and make pressing runs into the final third when needed. What else? Dude did what I expected of his pressing qualities and was used by Thomas Frank exactly how I have analysed him several times. Plus he even missed a big chance. Truth remains Onyeka doesn't have the ball playing nous needed for the Super Eagles Midfield while Nwakali has it in abundance and has been very consistent this season. The game vs Man City again showed Onyeka's limitations. ZERO PASSING RANGE ON DISPLAY. Not even a single Long ball from Onyeka. Not a single through ball or lines-breaking pass. Couldn't even complete one dribble. The chance he created came via a simple short pass layoff for Toney which was even squandered. You guys will eventually come to see the truth in time. For now, live on in your delusions about the current state of the Super Eagles Midfield.

We all know I tag Chuks the Naija Robben and will always rate him but you lots should cool it on this one. Chukwueze bagged a brace and double assists against a Spanish 5th tier side. A Tercera Amateur team. So make una cool down abeg. Arsenal watching because of Brace vs a 5th Tier amateur team? Calm down. ![]() fabyom: |

You are late to the Bruno hype party that began here many pages back but welcome to the light. Better late than never. Anyway, he's still a bit rough around certain edges. He's a solid Left footed defender with rooms for improvement. Always liked him since his feirense days. Udogie looks more polished for now though. fabyom: |

Kelechi Nwakali came off the bench with his team already 2-0 down in the Copa Del Rey and he bagged an assist but it wasn't enough as Ponferradina fell 2-1 to Spanish 4th tier side, Guadalajara. |

Arthur Okonkwo bagged a Cleansheet as Crewe Alexandra beat Colchester Utd 1-0 in EFL League Two. His 6th cleansheet of the league season in 17 league games. |

TheSuperNerd:The difference, Udogie plays primarily as a wing back while Bruno plays as one of the 3 men in a back 3 or left back. Of course Udogie is clearly better. |

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting no wan gree this season oo. With the way he is scoring goals, it is him and Osimhen battling for the next APOTY oo, especially if Mane fails to show up at the mundial. |

TheSuperNerd:Frank can only play what the coach tells him to play. If he was allowed to play his game he would be carrying the ball 20 yards at a time. |
