Tinubu does have the impetus and charisma. A man who can manage to say a complete sentence in three minutes?

With all due respect in the world, i think Prof. Pat Utomi is high on some cheap drugs.

Just look at him making references to South-Korea political settings just like a clueless Peter Obi will always do when trying to dodge and maneuver his way cunningly when been faced with discussions far above his intellectual capacity.

Firstly, the main aim of political debate is to educate, and elucidiate your plans for a greater country and stress more on why people should vote for you.

But in Nigeria here where we have a very silly journalist and supposedly debate organisers or interview host conniving with opposition parties to plan your downfall. Throwing cheap subs in a very obvious manner at a specific candidate.

A very smart man like Asiwaju Tinubu will rather spend his time making political moves, strategising, meeting the main voters and discussing his plans with them RATHER than honouring a mediocre comedy show of a debate which was poorly coordinated, where 80% of the viewers will be the same people sitting at the front of their TV on Election day and on their phones gossiping away about the election rather than going out to vote.

Elections are not won by jumping on every interview or debate to seek public validations but by meeting the real voters directly through town hall meetings and engagements, telling them your plans face-to-face.

You must be Brain starved..
Does stupidity run in ur family..?

Listen Pat yarning okpata. Is that one constitutional? Is public debate part of electoral process that is compulsory? Just because Nigeria is copying and pasting from advanced democracy doesn’t mean we shouldn’t know what we are doing.

Can you say all you want to do as an incoming president in just 2 hours’ debate? Or answer all problematic questions within that short period of time?

Any electorate that is not convinced at all by manifestos of a political party or does not believe a candidate is capable should vote for such candidate. It is not a do-or-die affair.

I won't besurprised if Tinubu wins, he is very criminal minded and can do anything to win. After all, he once said he will fight dirty to win but one thing is sure no sensible person will vote for Tinubu, a man that runs from debate shows he has nothing to offer.

NigeriaIsGreat:
Lol

Tinubu will win the coming election and your eyes go clear. For your tiny brain you believe everyone supporting Tinubu are benefiting one thing or the other from him right?

February no far again

so you think your agbado is smarter than 200 million Nigerians and therefore to big to appear on debates. He will be shocked come 2023.

You cyber Agberos forget that not everyone wants to eat agbado or join army grin. Imagine such a clueless man. Instead of planning how to end insecurity by tackling the root cause, he plans to recruit more people into the military whereas cirminals will also be recruited. Create basic daily needs and u won't need an army because no one for fight.
Vote Peter Obi come 2023 and would you won't have to eat corn or join the army.

cheesy Even America does not force candidates to attend debates. Trump has sworn not to attend 2024 debates. cheesy
I was expecting you to mention one person in the past that never joined in presidential election but you're here telling us future tense of someone that promised not to attend. I bet you, if he doesn't attend, he has failed already. You think US is Nigeria that don't grill their candidates and start hiding them like the way we do in Nigeria.
In the first place, why would a candidate be running away from debates, if he truly knows his worth? I don't expect any candidate to run away from any debate, even if they are doing it inside his enemies bedroom. Your capacity and competence will always makes the difference. Those without capacity and competence are the ones running away from debate.

Peter Obi is the enemy of Nigeria as he has continued to destroy by being the largest importer of finished products from China thereby killing the economy of Nigeria. Peter Obi imports everything to the extent of importing toothpick from China into Nigeria

The reality is that any candidate who hopes to defeat the ruling party and its candidate must do so on the strength of votes. Any other thing not known to the law as of today is just noise.

Arrant Nonsense.

The Core Responsibility of any Electoral Commission, is not just about free and fair elections, but producing Quality Leadership for Nigeria. The failure of Nigeria today can be attributed to the complete failure of INEC to being the Primary Filter that ensures that unintelligent entities are filtered from getting into leadership position.

If INEC knows that the country needs to develop technologically and Economically, INEC remains the only Mechanism that can produce such a leader.

INEC has the right to decide the growth of Nigeria by ensuring that every Candidate undergo rigorous Debates, Examination, Manifesto based Dialogues and disqualify Candidates that are incompetent and request for replacement and make such rules dogma in their Laws and backed by 3 arms of Government.

No one is talking about just 2023 or just presidency or your tin-God enmeshed in Drug Scandal and related issues.

Why do we think like this in Nigeria, it's so sad.

Pat raised a very good suggestion, every reasonable person should support that suggestion. it's time we make debates compulsory, maybe starting from the next election circle, cos it's already late.

Mr. Man, you're wrong here, debate is one of the veritable channel to know the capacity, capability and competence of each candidate vying for a certain position. No developed country joke with subjecting their candidates to rigorous debates of all kinds.
I don't see reason why a candidate will be running away from debate in this our jet age. If you are capable and cerebral, even if the debate is conducted among your ache enemies, you won't be afraid to go there and showcase what you are made up. The last I checked, in debate all aspirants are asked same questions at a time and they are given right to react to anything said about any party's candidate.
Thankfully, Prof. Pat Utomi never even mentioned Tinubu it is you guys that guilty conscience pricking. Or you guys have made up your mind that it is only Tinubu out of the 18 presidential candidates that won't like to go for debate.
The attitude of you guys is liken to the biblical words that says, a dinner runs when no one pursues him.
Yes, what he said is not constitutional but he finally said in his final submission that they can be voted out with anyone refused to attend debate.
Please stop this guilty conscience, he never made mentioned Tinubu's name.

Utomi is sick. How on earth is debate a requisite for presidential qualification or disqualification ? Maybe we should disqualify any candidate from any party that spreads fake news against another candidate and let’s see who would be home between Asiwaju and ur packaged fraud

Pat Utomi speaking like those Nyamiri people who sell at Alaba market....

Where is it written in our constitution that debate is the basis for disqualifying any political candidate...

Some.of these our leaders are already being eroded with all kinds of sentiments...without taking cognizant of a level playing field and rule of law...

Such an academician musntt join all kind of Oshodi Nyamiri associations in putting one candidate down...
