IfnobeGod20:You also said here that what he said is not constitutional. Since u know it’s not constitutional, why are u now wailing? Don’t u think it’s illiteracy on ur part to know that something is not constitutional and u are still pushing the narrative. You guys get ur advice from mad men truly. |

A fool at your age can't be a wise man again! What makes you a fool is not just your rejection of what great nations did to be great but having the guts to attack a man who runs the premier business school in West Africa while you are just a bigoted urchin working for a former drug baron. While the source of Peter Obi's wealth is legal, that of your father in thief Tinubu is a mixture of drugs and state backed extortion As if it's not enough, your bloody Principal has the animal boldness to push Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country where Christians are being marginalised openly and being slaughtered all over the north. Even Buhari who is a rabid bigot and who wanted to pretend otherwise refused to allow Tinubu push Muslim-Muslim ticket in his time. Tinubu has lost 90% of the Christians who voted for Buhari in 2015 and his plan to rig won't work this time because people will chill by the polling unit till election is over. Your breakfast will be served in Feb lhordspy: |

1. Debates and town halls are private events, not government or INEC-sanctioned events. 2. There's nothing in the constitution or INEC ACT that says candidates must attend any debate or function. 3. Freedom of choice and association is a constitutionally guaranteed right in our constitution so you can not force your choice of association on any candidate. 4 How exactly do you compel candidates to attend private and non-government-sanctioned events? Based on what law, what part of the constitution or INEC act? This is when ignorant, unintelligent and grossly illiterate people parade around as educated people when in fact they are not. This uneducated albino clown needs to lay off drugs. |

| Re: 2023: Disqualify Candidate Missing At Debates - Pat Utomi by IfnobeGod20(m): 9:52pm On Nov 13, 2022 |
oluwafeolami:The question is, is it morally and ethically right for citizens to organize a debate for those that wish to lead them and some refused to show up? This is the reason we've not got it right in this country because those that wished to lead us always come through the back doors and we take take hook line and sinker. Meanwhile, the campaigns they selectively attended before were they also constitutional. Because the last time I checked, many of them have appeared before on many debate at different times and they never complained that it is not constitutional. |

IfnobeGod20:Nigerian media are corrupt and biased. That's why it is smart for politician's to refuse to attend their corrupt debates. Even Obituary learnt the hard way and he is now joined Tinubu. |

An accused person has the right to remain silent. A candidate has the right to refuse to campaign, and/or to be quiet. |

Very true. You will see people debate on the streets in America before going to national television for the main thing. In Nigeria we see it as rubbish. It show the high level of illiteracy in Nigeria. Its horrible. |

You cannot set your own rules. Every party has its mode of operation. If attending public debate is optional in the INEC rules, so shall it be. Even the person coordinating the public debate belongs to a political party. So public debate is not the necessary or sufficient condition for good governance |

For a professor to bring up this shows something. Which law states that candidates must attend debate. A prof should not be behaving like a dunce. |

ddeola:He is not "learned" overall. Book knowledge, if not matched with emotional, intuitive and leadership intelligence, will get you nowhere in politics. That's why Utomi is a big failure despite his education which suggests he should be a prominent leader. This statement from Utomi defies logic. His talk about a Country outside Africa, as Obi too is always doing, makes it even more dumb because it shows a limited thinker who does not understand that to change a situation, you must first accept the reality of that situation and work with it. You've already failed if you wish to make Adamawa Singapore. You work incrementally to garner sensible progress you build on. Attempt to make Adamawa like Awka Ibom first before talking like a delusional dreamer. I don't respect Utomi at all. |
| Re: 2023: Disqualify Candidate Missing At Debates - Pat Utomi by Nobody: 5:07am On Nov 14, 2022 |
JoeNL22:Debate is nothing in Nigeria right now. That is our reality. With the high level of leadership insincerity in Nigeria, probably worst in the world, is it not best for a pragmatically intelligent thinker to use the record and achievements of a politician rather than rely on what they say? The likes of Obi are always making love to every microphone they see because they are empty barrels with nothing to point at as achievements in office. The way so-called educated Nigerians talk is what scares me the most per solutions provisions for Nigerians because they don't have education that teaches thrm to be practical, innovative and realistically efficient in aid of solutions provision for society. Of what use is debate in a Country full of illiterates like Nigeria? What is the percentage of the population who will listen to debate, appreciate it and be swayed by it? Like 10% or less? Are we not better off recognizing our reality for now and simply voting leaders with a history of solutions-provision who can then improve the human development index of every Nigerian, as Awolowo did, so we may have increased the 10% figure above to like 30% in 20 years and maybe 50 - 60% in 50 years? For smart folks, it is never about being at zero to then think you can land at ten bypassing 1-9. The debate thing is nothing but mischief against Asiwaju because other candidates know they do not scratch the sole of his shoes if it comes to achievements and transformational leadership. They have no record to parade so they wish to sell lies and insincere promises That is what Nigerians will be looking. Not silly talk shows where Obi will rant about China and Japan, quoting fake statistics, while Atiku who lives in Dubai will tell us only he aklnc can "unify". |

lhordspy:If your candidate does not have anything to hide or has a clean record or a very good history, he should not avoid any form of debates. Debates are meant to make us know if this candidate has the interest of country at heart and also if this person has a good past history to be fit for such position. It is not a case of talking about your plans but revealing your kind of person to us. |
