it's true, men achieve through conflict. Conflict with self and conflict with the world. Nothing is given on a silver platter. This conflict is what builds character. Usually for most men that conflict is during their 20s while they discover themselves, finish their education and try to carve out a career. It's also a man's loneliest and most bitter time filled with frustrations of all kinds from sexual to financial. But a man is to persevere. Cause it's his rite of passage. The essential lessons of patience, persistence and relentlessness gained during this period are what will make him the Rock that his women and children will depend on. The ability to not be overwhelmed by the odds, the ability to persist under utter discouragement and the ability to retain hope while nothing is going his way is what will make a man the Head that people in his life can follow with confidence and trust. It's called The School of Life. Circumstances are the teachers.

Being a man is never going to be easy. It would be nice to inherit a softer existence. But that's not what destiny has planned for us. Ours is a bloodstained path sprinkled with sweat and tears. No easy mode. No cruise. No dodging consequences. No hiding behind excuses. No nothing. You stand up straight and you take it. And survive it.
