Mujtahida:What are you even saying, Sir? Who is forcing what on who? Who has ever advocated for people to be sent to jail for not having gay sex? Qatar literally STONES people for being gay. And the U.S team is protesting against that. Homophobia is just as bad as racism. Have you condemned the anti-racism slogans and banners that have been used for decades in European footballing competitions? If a captain wears a band saying "No to Racism", will you condemn him for "pushing political ideology into football"? If you won't condemn anti-racist football activism, why condemn anti-homophobic football activism? Are you really fighting to "save the sport" or are you just manifesting your hate and bigotry against gay people? Again, what are you even saying, Sir? |

Curtisaxel10:every person/persons hv right to what ever they belief in. Because you eat yam doesn’t mean I will allow you do that in my home when it is forbidden by me and my family that is your host You don’t force someone to accommodate/embrace what is seen as a sacrilege/taboo to their tradition, religion and culture to him and his clan just to promote an agenda Those nations that feel that they must enforce their gay agenda by trying to promote it in Qatar should simply withdraw from the tournament. |

charlesemeka85:"Enforce gay agenda"? Let me ask you this. When the Premier League had its players wearing shirts saying "Black Lives Matter", did you accuse them of "enforcing racial equality agenda"? Punishing people for being gay which they did not choose for themselves is just the same as discriminating against people for being black. The "culture" argument holds no water. There are some cultures in which racism is the norm (e.g Nazi Germany). Can we then excuse Hitler and the Nazis for their racism because "it was their culture"? Slavery and human sacrifice was part of African culture too before the colonial masters stamped them out. Some cultural beliefs are evil and deserve to be protested and fought against by all means. Homophobia is evil. Just as racism, human sacrifice and slavery are evil. No matter what any culture or religion says, these things are evil and must be stopped. |

If the Western countries were "respecting local cultures" in the colonial era, we would still have legalized slavery, killing of twins and human sacrifice rituals in many parts of the world today. |

daveP:If this mediocrity goes on peseiro may be sacked by this time next year prior to the nation's cup. He has to get up and running In th next 10 months or else the knives will be out for him. We can't take this nonsense to the nation's cup. He had better improve the midfield and the team in general before he looses his job. 14 months from now is not far away. Time is going. It will soon be January 2014. I have no confidence in this coach or team. Time is going |

Curtisaxel10: Curtisaxel10:been g:ay is a mental problem and most people that are gay were abused by someone when they were young and must never be compared to an entire race.. punishing someone for been g:ay is not the same as discriminating against black people because for someone to know a person is gay then the gay person has to make it public by telling another person or from how the gay person dresses and behaves which points to it been a mental problem... while a black person does not have to make it public or tell another person that he has melanin or dress or behave in a certain way to show that he or she is black... slavery was never part of African culture. Human sacrifice was never part of African culture. killing of twins was never part of African culture. African culture already had names for twins and triplets long before the colonial thieves and terrorists invaded Africa... stop saying rubbish. |

Truidstar:No this is so so painful for us to bear. Our darling SE would not be @ Qatar 2022. Other nations are already there but we are watching from home. And just when we thought the team has evolved with the calibre of players we had, they lost 0-4 to Portugal. Even the home based eagles who lost 0-2 were better. This is just too painful! |

On a normal level, Qatar no be Ecuador mat in football, but anything for happen... Like I said sometimes ago, I believe Qatar will do anything to make sure they qualify from the group... Senegal will be the unfortunate losers here |
