Guys please help me out. I intended buying a Honda Accord 2012, v6 engine. Recently a video was sent to me of an available Nigeria used but while going through the video I noticed some dashboard indicator light on the car.

Please find attached the the pic of the dashboard lights.

Please is this a bad sign that the car have issues and will be problematic if I continue and purchase it

Or some of this indicator can easily be worked on the car.

Guys please help me out as I am about paying for the car and I don't want to make a wrong choice.

Lol
I see the tire pressure monitor sensor there. It tells u if one of your tyres is below gauge. The sign is there because either some of the sensors are bad or your tyres are below gauge. It is not a serious issue. You can actually drive with it. Just make sure u gauge ur tyres properly at all times.

I can see the check engine light there. So many Nigerian cars have that light on. So I suggest you scan that car. It might be very minor issues.

You never see some dashboards with Christmas tree. And yet men dey drive the car dey go. Nothing dey happen. So oga chill.

thank you sir

The below three problem lights are not good to see on a car you’re looking to purchase

1. Orange Check engine light

2. Orange VSC or ABS light

3. Red Airbag light

The rest are not big issues

Good day guys,

Left my honda city running while I branched to get some vegetables, I didn't spend up to 5 mins. 30 seconds after I drove the car, the battery and engine oil light popped on and the car stopped accelerating. Pushed the car to side of the road, then turned it off and on. The lights the come on again but I'm worried. Anyone have any idea why those two warning lights popped on at the same time?

Normally, if your vehicle was running and it’s engine suddenly trips off due to one issue or another those lights would stay on until you turn the ignition key to the off position.

Watch out for it happening again and then scan your vehicle to know why.

Yeah, the lights stayed on till I turned the ignition key to the off position and then back on. Then I drove home without those warning lights coming back on.

It’s highly subjective, only a scan can really tell.

It's too cheap. There will probably be some underlining issues. Even 2008 model Accord at 1.6m is meant to be overlooked.

It's not too cheap..go with a good mechanic. Ppl sell their honda v6 cheap because it's a v6. It's naturally undervalued from the start. Test properly, check everywhere including the under for oil leaks and rust. Check the windshield for any signs of replacement, drive and monitor the gear selection. Listen to the engine sound. Don't forget to scan the vehicle

The V6 of this accord is not as easy to maintain as the 4 cylinder version. However, I'd advice you to find out the price for a replacement engine for the car. It would help you with a more informed decision of buying the car or not.

Vehicle stability control or anti lock braking system are comprised of various modules. If you have that light on it might have to do with either your wheel speed sensors or something in your brake system.

not really a problem if the vehicle is sound. If the VCM is working well, you should enjoy the vehicle. V6 uses timing belt, 4 cylinders uses timing chain which is usually lifelong.

Battery isn't charging. Most likely caused by a faulty alternator.
