Conner44: good day, guys .. i finally did the brake system. it was the brake master cylinder also known as the servo-brake, as posted by the second poster it got rusted so anytime I pressed on the brake pedal, air would escape from the rusted part of the cylinder giving a wooshing sound. I finally removed the bad cylinder and got a new one from Ladipo @ 10k. Thanks for your candid advice. I will post the pics of the rusted cylinder...the cause was that I packed the car for a year now without driving or warming it., so when it rained, droplets go into the engine hood and dropped on the cylinder and started rusting it. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 3:56pm On Nov 28, 2022 |
okeyz: It’s usually not a good idea to park a vehicle for long periods without use especially if it’s not in a roofed garage or if you didn’t cover it with the regular waterproof coat cover. Without use the rain and moisture wasn’t able to evaporate/burn off hence the corrosion. Rust is a very bad thing to machines. |

Good evening house, I need help. I got a Nigerian used 2007 Honda Accord 4plug But it consumes fuel like crazy. I’ve serviced nozzle, cleaned injector and Maf and it’s still the same. Only code i get is the P0141 Gone to like 3 Mechos and they’ll do the same thing nothing changes. Checked my long and short term fuel trim and it’s on a high negative

broadrick: Replace the downstream Oxygen sensor & be sure you have a catalyst intact |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by broadrick(m): 11:21pm On Nov 30, 2022 |
luvinhubby: Wow thanks. I was thinking the same, unfortunately it doesn’t have a catalyst. People have suggested I get the China one that is serves the purpose. And also I have only been able to see the new O2 sensor at oyingbo. Ill work on that. Thank you |

Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by HenryWilliams(m): 6:42pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
kingreign: For the P2279. How can I do that? For the P0430.. I can simply empty the converter and leave it empty.. how about that ? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by kingreign(m): 6:52pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
HenryWilliams: You may carry out throttle relearn by removing battery terminals for some minutes, then reinstalling it, start the car, keep the car idling with throttle at 2,000-2,500 rpm till radiator fans come on. For P0430, you may wish to purchase another catalytic converter or remove the old broken catalytic converter contents from the manifold. 1 Like |

Occasionally, My Honda Accord 2008 CEL light flashes. Thus usually occurs after a hard acceleration (pushing hard on the throttle). The car feels a bit sluggish. I have scanned and got the the P03000 misfire code. My mechanic have checked the plugs and the ignition coils and says they are okay. How do I solve this problem? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Dozieson(m): 9:03pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
AdisaOwala: Only p0300? No p0301 etc? |

Good day everyone, I noticed something with my car. I was driving on the highway yesterday and immediately I hit 40mph. The car started jerking and it slowed down and the acceleration wasn’t hitting again until I had to park turn off ignition and on. And the moment it hit 40mph. The check engine light begins to blink. I recently collected the car from a mechanic workshop. It was hit by the side but everything seem to be fine before I gave him. Below is a video. Experts in the house please I need your advice

Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 7:15pm On Dec 05, 2022 |
Deigofortune: P0523 replace oil pressure switch P2185 coolant temperature sensor. I suspect your fan is connected directly. P0135 replace 02 sensor P0102 clean or replace your mass air flow sensor. It is located on the air box hose or close to the airbox. 1 Like |
