ogbonti:Thank you for outlining these Vital points. I'm too tired to be explaining these things to Nigeria Urchins. It Is the reason why I Ignored one of them up there. For example, I have been running my generator for at least 14hours a day since last week. They switched off the power since last weekend. Thank goodness I am operating a prepaid. If not those Idiots would still go on and bring me an outrageous bill by month end. The Kind of suffering Nigerians are suffering should be a full case study. Most of them are suffering without them knowing. |

I don't even want to read the bashings that will follow this post because I know that there is nothing you will tell some coconut heads, that they will listen to. It will just enter one ear, and pass out through the other ear. Nigerians are "risk takers", so they can decide to do whatever they want. Since everyone is following the same pattern, and "Mr Lagbaja is in the UK doing his master's, me too I need to get some money, resign from my well paying job and join twenty something year Olds in classrooms doing Masters. That way I will also work and wash plate and make ten pounds per hour that I can save and come and use it to flex when I come back". Since that is the mindset of many Nigerians, who is the nonsense Immigration officer to ask us not to travel? Loool |

IJ Idris, by their names you will know their intellectual capacity. NIS should be poised to be able to issue at least 50 million passports yearly, moreover the service is not free. I don't understand all these bullshit about putting pressure on the system. |

jojothaiv:Tell your friend that 10 million naira is not enough to survive 6 months in Malta. Mostly due to the very high cost of accommodation there, plus the salaries there are low. Except he has a good job waiting there. He should instead acquire a tech skill - Software engineering, UI/UX designer, etc and start working remotely in Nigeria for foreign companies abroad. Earning in USD. I know someone who lives in Lagos here who has been working remotely for almost 2 years now for 2 companies, one in Canada and another in Denmark as a Senior Software Engineer. Cumulatively, he earns USD 11,000 per month as salaries from both jobs. Month end they do bank transfer his salaries to his domiciliary account in Nigeria. All he needs for his jobs are his tech skillset, fast internet and a good laptop plus some flat screen monitors when he has setup in his home office. He is now making plans to relocate to Canada next year as he wants to enroll his wife for her Masters and he and the kids go under her. When he gets to Canada, he will continue his remote work there. People need to apply wisdom in japa plans. Evil travel agents are using people's desperation for japa to send them to shady countries where they are kidnapped and their organs - kidneys, etc. are harvested by wicked people there. |

The youths are running away to give their lives meaning in other countries. Let all the old people die and see if these youths won't come back. Yes China did it their own way. We have our own way to do it too Sleekfingers: |

Octopusssy:Instead of getting to use that Very Naira in your hand and Bank account to Buy CRUDE OIL which the Dollar in those Commercial Online and Offline Mega and Mini Banks represents, Nigerians, expecially Southerners are IGNORANTLY TRAVELING OUT OF THE Country To Nations that lives on Credit. Hmmm, see people, Currency Arbitrage Is What You All Should Be Japa or Running Into So far those Fulanis Controlling Your God Given Resources Down South Are Wickedly Ruthless Against You Economicwise expecially. Actually, you can not buy CRUDE Oil directly just like that. But you can buy what is being used to exchange it in the World Market. That thing is the Dollar. If you can not get dollars from the BANK because of the Fulani Restriction in view of controlling ther Masses expecially Southern Nigeria, take your Naira to any of those west African Nations and exchange your Naira to there Local Currency at Bank rate and use there currency to buy Dollars either online or offline. You then sell back the Dollars online at BLACK MARKET RATE via sites like Grey.co and or Binance.Com etc. on it P2P. The Natural and a Human Resources is what makes THE PRIVATE FAMILIES GROUP know as 'Government' by the gullible Masses or 'useless eaters' which they always like to call us. So in a Capitalist Country like ours where the commonwealths have been Hijacked dubiously via the constitution , you need not stress yourself with motar and Brick job. Just Go the way of those Hausa/Fulanis by start doing either online a d or offline BUREAU DE CHANGE. Do Hausas and Fulanis troop out of the Nation the way we Southerners usually do? However the issue on ground is even bigger as it applies to every Nation of the World. But ours is Nigeria. The Antiodates to all these financial constitution is for you to use the Extabished government institutions and documents and it currency to FIGHT BACK THE ECONOMIC WOES THEY CONDITIONED OR ARTIFICIALLY CREATED FOR YOU AND I. Nigeria is So WEALTHY that as at now, $1 can ACTUALLY be less than #1 as everything have been Dolarised. So the More Dollars (not Gold anymore as it suppose to be) In your Reserve the Higher the Value of your Currency. But because all this private families group a. k. a government hates equality, they deliberately devalue the Naira to the benefits of themselves alone. You all should open domiciliary account(s). Yes accounts if you can as you can get some banks either online or offline to sell dollars to you (at exactly bank rate or near bank rate) only into your Dom Account. You know, they buy it too from Central Bank Of Nigeria to resell to make profit. You just must Be Completely PREPARED OR HARMED FOR THE WAR USING Naira. Also open Dollar Prepaid Account(s) too. Make sure to open Business Accounts and and Savings Accounts In All The Known C. B. N accredited Banks that offers those product and or services. You know why? Once you open those accounts, you are on same par with the members of Private Families and ready to counteract there Artificially Created INFLATION. Also some of those banks do Runs too against the C. B. N sanctions. Zero seven zero sixty five seven 8569 is via which anyone can reach me for any further clarication. Peter Obi or BAT or Atiku I care not about as they are all Hijackers. All that matters is Having Access to Dollar which rep in value all the Resources of The Land. Who Motar and Brick Job or work help If you wanna "JAPA", Japa into Currency Arbitrage. If front Fails, back shall never FAIL. THINK.... |

BRATISLAVA:I’ve been to all those places I mentioned. Like literally set my foot there. When I was in Malta, there were a few Nigerians play for the Maltese football national team so I thought maybe they were a bit receptive. Forget! They aren’t. The place is a big construction jungle powered by heavily underpaid immigrant labour. European country that drives like Lagosians. Them and Cyprus (the real Republic of Cyprus o not the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) are the same. Tiny holiday islands and retirement homes for British expats I didn’t goggle nothing. I was wearing goggles sef when I was experiencing them |

airsaylongcome:I thought the allure of Malta is something more for (shady) expats. I can't understand why a Nigerian who isn't a politician would be interested in the place. I love seeing your distinction of Cyprus from Cyprus. Something certainly went down in Cyprus. The southern wing of it by the look of it ![]() |

BRATISLAVA:It’s the deception from people like the person that quoted me. They believe that since these places have electricity, “good” roads and other infrastructure then it is “developed” and a good place. Until you live amongst the nationals and see how closed if they are. In Malta, corruption is high to the heavens. It’s a nepotism driven tiny island. Police there randomly arrest and torture immigrants (mostly people from SEA but Africans too were targets) FOR FUN! Like a squad of police officers will be bored and to kill their boredom they’d drive around, pick up any immigrant under the threat of deportation and torture them for kicks. As for Cyprus, that one is a hideout for the Russian mob and politicians. Yes things went down in CY. Southern one which is colloquially abbreviated to RoC. It was a heady period in my life |
| Re: Japa Syndrome: NIS Cautions Nigerians Against Irregular Migration by BRATISLAVA: 10:48am On Nov 26, 2022 |
airsaylongcome:That's why there's a Nigerian in every city of the world. The greatest export yet. And I can't even understand some of the places people actually want to go to. There was a thread on a guy who was excited to go to Mongolia/Uzbekistan; it was covered quite well on the forum. With the reality on ground there he killed himself. It was nothing like he thought it would be. Methinks Nigerians can't distinguish between 3rd world hells. Well, whatever went up, you should remember not to goggle your responses. |

Anunakeeh:you are so correct there is no one harder to wake up than a man pretending to be sleeping- when people come to nairaland to bash the western world and pretending all is very well in Nigeria without facts of how life really is in the western world compared to Nigeria - i just laugh at their ignorance Although the western world is not heaven but basic things people worry about in Nigeria like no light, unpaid salaries, bad roads, difficulty to get food to eat, access to simple pleasures of life like availability of social safety nets like medicaid, social security, student loans and grants, welfare assistance for the poor - child care … and seeing situations like unending ASUU strike with the minister of education being in a combative mode with lecturers instead of serving the needs of the people by lowering his ego and negotiating openly and honestly about the situation - then it gives room to worry about agreeing with anyone trying to sell Nigeria as a better option than living in the western world some times there are things we take for granted each day and think life is hard overseas but when we read some things on nairaland about what’s going on - hmmm, you can’t help but take a back seat and thank God you left Nigeria… now this does not mean I want Nigeria to remain in a bad state but as of today 11/25/2022, am grateful to God I live in a country where simple things work and they are not just complicated like in Nigeria. Enough said! |

legend00:Well it depends on what you mean by planning. I don't know what. All I know is, there are Nigerians landing here in my area with NOTHING, some of them with a little, some are rich, what I've seen with my own eyes is after 2 to 5 years, they're settled and doing well even without Green Card or anything. I started out in the USA over 30 years ago working illegally in a restaurant, many of my friends and acquintances from those days did the same, some drove taxis and are still driving taxis and have bought houses, married and sent their children to University, the kids have graduated and are independent, doing well, these are kids I used to babysit....and my state of NC is not the most hospitable for immigrants, go to NY, Cali or Mass and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS are treated like kings with all sorts of free services not available to even citizens. Yes, you read that right. Anyone with the means to get out of Nigeria and travel to ANY Anglo-Western nation should take it immediately, there's only maybe 0.01% of Nigerians who can do better in Nigeria. The President of Nigeria and his family have basically been living abroad since 1982 till today, so what again is this argument about how Nigeria is paradise? Your President has made a LIE out of that argument. If you're among that 0.01% elite class of rich Nigerians, my advice is NOT for you. Thanks. |

IbeOkehie:I get it but those people put an entire lifespan to make thing's work, I meant those old immigrants. However look around, most of them are living average lives, some didn't even make it, and this was when things were easier, like easy to open account, work with fake tax documents, passport etc. Now, most of those opportunities have long been jettisoned. One new Nigerian immigrant knocked on my door recently trying to sell me those electric and gas deals, if you hear how much he was lamenting and all the associated problems he has to overcome to even get some sense of stability on par with what he had in Nigeria, you will be shocked. Then there's this other guy who moved to the state's as a student , he used to argue with me about life being easy in the West, he has since changed his position, having felt the desperation of securing employment, high rental cost etc. I'm here 23 years and I keep asking myself, was it worth it. |
