They didn't have any genuine moral conviction for the fight. Self-serving interests had always been the motivating factor. Imagine Tinubu claiming that he fought for democracy while the guy was strategically planning on how to permanently recolonize Lagos & plunder it's treasury. I have seen them at Abuja with Nigerian International Passports using Yoruba Names to apply for UK Visa. In many African countries including Ghana, Kenya and South Africa, their identity is known.

Yorubas are very simple and majority don't know or concern themselves with external politics or bitterness or hatred. It is internal politics and fighting within the zone that occupy most of their struggle.
