He committed a crime by all standards and how does that translate to others claiming saint?

I work in the children social care here in the UK and it is lawful for 16 and 17-year-olds to have sex, but because they are still considered minors, they are protected by the law more. A 16 or 17-year-old cannot have intercourse with an adult in a position of trust or responsibility.
