We wouldn't have scored because we lacked the personnel on the bench not because Addo is tactical. All our midfielders were out due to injuries. Shehu had to play DM when no one was available. Cape Verde had Rohr team on the back foot throughout the 2nd half while Ghana could not even pass the midfield against a team without midfielders. Otto did nothing. He was just lucky! Simple.
ok cheesy

since wey I Dey talk of the game against ghana u Dey refer me to Cape Verde own na u win

But all I know is that addo forced egu’s team to play in a way that suits his team and tactically it Favoured him and his boys

The plan was to hold our team to a draw and go for penalties which in a way may favor them because there will be more pressure on our boys playing at home but they got lucky by getting the first goal and defended with their lives until the final whistle because they had it at the back of their mind that the away goal rule favors them

I thought some guys were praising them during the group stage saying they have a solid formation and playing pattern.
Absolutely given the playing resources they have exceeded all reasonable and I dare say even unreasonable expectations.

Brazil won the world cup back to back in 58 and 62. Pele and Garincha say high. Respect the giants of Brazil
Very true,Maradona na real small god (osa), he helped an average Argentina win in 86 and he almost repeated it in 90 with worse team than the 86 one. Even in 1994, it was that little devil that punished us, the moment he was kicked out of the WC, Argentina fell like a pack of cards. If memory serves me right, he came out of international retirement to help Argentina qualify for the 94 WC. Respect to Diego Amando Maradona, the man with the Hand of God!

to me he is the greatest of all time

The vision and skills he exhibited then were out of this world

The only player then that showcased football artistry at its best which can be compared to what is obtainable today as of over 30 years ago

Whats tactical in telling your team to defend? Ordinary football analysts knew he would defend. So what's tactical about that. My point is if Equaveon had the full compliment of his players over the 2 legs, he would have won. Equaveon team had the best chances over the two legs without having the core of his midfield. Imagine Otto without Kudus and Partey. Nothing tactical in defending and creating no chances over two legs with a full team.

Do you know the number of chances Inter created in that match? How can you be comparing this tactic to Otto's 531 with just one shot on target? Jose had a game plan to transition from defence to attack, Otto's team hardly transition. Just defending and ballooning the ball. Cape Verde had a better coach cos they were able to transition and kept us in our half when on counter. Otto's Ghana didn't do anything in attack just defend and vibes.

I think the proper thing for Gusau to do now is to clear up the backlog of unpaid salaries, bonus and allowances Pinnick's administration owes coaches and players... Then he can talk about bringing in his own people...

Years and years after, we are still having issue of owing coaches and players...
and we’ll continue to owe until we start getting proper funding for our football

messi’s game is not about scoring anymore but decisive and creative passes that throws the opposition off balance

If you can stop Messi in this current Argentine team they won’t play nada

Everything in terms of creativity and creation of space goes through him
True. Stopping him through tactics is better sha

It's a play on Dios which means god in Spanish using the 10 which was Maradona's jersey number. In Naples and many places in Argentina, there are shrines built in worship of Maradona. I don't worship him but I adore him

Thanks sir, he was too good. Even in his twilight when he became fat and slower, his speed of thought was something else. Not to sound like a broken record, just his smartness on two occasions made us lose against Argentina in the US 94 WC.

Maradona had charisma, he was a leader of men. He once went to play for Pablo Escobar in Escobar's personally built prison. Diego was involved with the mafia in Naples. He was a crazy guy.

The generation of sport men born in the 60's who reached their prime in the mid 80's were just something else. Tyson belongs to Maradona's generation.
