Morocco vs Spain is more than just a game. Learned Morocco was colonized by Spain and France, they share borders. There are disputed lands between both countries, Spain is still holding on to two actual Moroccan territories. Can the Atlas Lions dig deep against their colonialists? |

I pray Morocco knocks Spain out so that my eyes will stop being assaulted by this travesty called tiki taka. |

Mujtahida:Morocco is playing a beautiful variant of Tiki taka. Boy the footworks of their goalkeeper is insane. Morocco winning is a big props for tiki taka. ![]() |

charlesemeka85:I agree without hesitation, question and or deliberation. Morocco is doing Africa proud , taking Spain to the wire Morocco is in my biased opinion the better team. What is it about Morocco that makes players reject the opportunity to play for first world teams such as Germany,France England and Holland. Most of their players were born and bred outside of Morocco but are family completely cohesive. Star man for me Sofyan Amrabat who has been the quintessential DM but with intelligence and a array of simple passes reading the game perfectly with outstanding anticipation. His value must be skyrocketing each minute he plays in this World cup by the way he was born and brought in the Netherlands. |

AndSunGorilla:You could add Gran Canaria and Tenerife off the coast of Africa. I was in Gran Canaria a few months ago. Four hour plus flight ✈️ but costs very little from Manchester return. |

My Maroc Lads are having themselves a Game They haven't had the ball for long spells but they have tried making good use of their little spells of ball possession. The speed at which Morocco transit Vertically into Spain's Defensive third on the counter is beautiful to see. Using Boufal, Ziyech and the overlap of their fullbacks when on the ball as attacking outlets, they have been able to turn the tables a few times and go on the counter getting off a few shots with one on target from Mazraoui. Also, note that Morocco have out-dueled Spain 31-18 giving Spain little or no chance to pounce on second balls in Morocco's Defensive third. I am proud to call this team one of my favourites in world football. Their speed of thought, decision making in possession and their swift vertical attacking transition plays have been bold and lovely. Keep going Atlas Lions! ![]() #Qatar2022DiariesMD |

Sofyan Amrabat is again using this game to cement his place as arguably Africa's finest CDM. Won all his duels today. Press resistance on top lock. Calm in possession yet quick in his decision making on the ball. Excellent ball playing. Fantastic shield for the back 4. Brilliant midfield leader. His midfield partners, Ounahi and Amallah have also been good. #Qatar2022DiariesMD |

When I spoke about this Moroccan team even during and after the Afcon... they did not believe. Now Baby Analysts be singing "Best Team in Africa".... Looollll. Eyes don clear? Lol Peripheral Ball watchers are always late to the party already witnessed by Keener ball observers. #Qatar2022DiariesMD |

Ziyech is two players in one too quality. Outstanding technical ability and not just aimless dribbling but consistent END PRODUCT. |

The game is on a knife edge but Morocco slightly ahead but I think the next goal wins it. |

And yes, not forgetting Yassine Bounou. Easily Africa's most well rounded Goalie. Good with his feet, strong shot stopper, excellent anticipation. He has been good and key to Morocco's calm at the back. A GK with better press resistant quality than some midfielders. No caps. #Qatar2022DiariesMD |
