Completed the most dribbles in the game (6), won the most ground duels in the game (12). Created a chance and made 3 tackles as well.. all in 66mins. He has been good today and I am actually surprised he's been taken out early but Boufal's replacement on his day offers similar drive & threat but is young no doubt. I complained about his Final third decision making in the first round. Hope it gets a bit better today. AndSunGorilla: |

TheSuperNerd:Ziyech looks tired and Aguerd was limping at some point. |

charlesemeka85:Using xiyech as a full back is simply foolish that's all. Maybe because they have many good players and get themselves lost for choice |

Aguerd is out, as much as I would hate this, I think Ziyech is tired. He probably needs to be replaced. Hakimi na real turbo-machine!!!!! He has lungs of steel. |

Cant believe some of you on this thread tried to create excuses for this Spanish team and their aimless passing of the ball, just for the sake of it. I still stand by my earlier submission, this style will fade out before Mbappe turns 30. Watch it!! Loving the fact that Morocco sabi them and their individual weaknesses. |

I don't get the hype about this Spain tiki taka or whatever it called, all I see is aimless passing ![]() |

TheGoodJoe:Chai. You are seeing what you want to see. Morocco is playing football. Not tiki taka or any of its variations. |

daveP:There's nothing more tasteless than this brand of football. It's abhorrent. I'm rooting fervently for Morocco to do a number on Spain. |

Mujtahida:What you are missing is that Spain are masters of starving you from keeping the ball. If not, Morocco is showing great quality on the ball. When they are with the ball, they keep it quite well while transitioning to attack. So, their style has a lot to do with keeping the ball well. |

daveP:Morocco is playing deeper ,but na tiki taka you see They should have exploited Spain dangerous high line with Rodri and Laporte up there |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by AndSunGorilla: 5:55pm On Dec 06, 2022 |
charlesemeka85:Spain are playing well, but I think you guys are being economical with the truth. The truth is Morocco have been almost excellent, that's it. The Tiki-taka or whatever Spain is playing has given them a few sniffs of the Moroccan goal. Morocco has clearly being one of the best teams in this tournament, that's all!!! |

Morocco have gone 360 minutes at this World Cup without conceding a goal from an opposition player Wow! |

daveP:Possession football has been there since the 50s, let alone it fading soon. We have the likes of Guardiola, Enrique, Amunike, holding seminars training coaches in the art. We have seen the likes of Inzaghi, Sarri, Erik Ten Hag, Vincent Kompany, Tuchel, Emery, Lopetegui and a host of others adapt to it. Hard to find a top side that does not conform to the Possession game. Manchester City has been dominating with it. So how do you expect it to fade? |

AndSunGorilla: I think the whole Moroccan team is tired from chasing the ball. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Mujtahida: 6:02pm On Dec 06, 2022 |
TheGoodJoe:The bolded is precisely one of the reasons I detest tiki taka. It makes no sense for me to sit down to watch a game where only one team knocks the ball around. Even the great Brazilian teams of Pele and Zico allowed the opponent to have some share of possession. That's not football. It's tiki taka. I consider it an abomination, a blight on the beautiful game that two teams line up to play and the strategy of one team is to totally deny the other team of the ball. It's like a child who will not share his toys when his mates come to play with him. When a child behaves like that even if he or she is your child, most parents will discourage such a behavior. It's a shame that the Spanish - a nation I very much like - would stoop so low as to espouse this crudity called tiki taka. |

Mujtahida:I like your analogy of the boy with his toys and his friends. This case, the boys Spain are not playing with friends but "enemies" at least during the course of the game. |

If it gets to penalties, Morocco will win. Their goalkeeper looks more self assured. |

AndSunGorilla:It's not an analogy that squares on all fours with the reality of football but the point I'm making is that a game is only enjoyable when the ball is played between two opposing teams. |

You can’t be losing this kain goal Spanish player will not lose that ball. |

Morocco must win. European hegemony over football has taken too long. We need something new. It'll spur a football renaissance on the African continent. |

Mujtahida:All is fair in war as some say. The onus is on the opposing team to get the damn ball, don't blame the team that doesn't want to share the ball, should they be passing the ball to you? |
