Please if I ever make the above statement, then it's either my phone has been hacked or someone spiked my food/drink with weed that's enough to make a full grown elephant high

Nonsense backstage brouhaha that kills dreams and efforts and everything sports represents due to ego, pride of the african man.
The one that pain me most was our inability to present a club for the last edition of the BAL(Basketball Africa League). Imagine being the African country that has produced the best players for the NBA, and the NBA brings a tournament to Africa and your clubs and players can't benefit from it!
When the BAL becomes fully functional, I'm sure all these North African teams will dominate it..

Morocco has overachieved. I don't think their performance will have any influence on CAF. We already have ten slots (if I recall correctly) at the 2026 world cup.
9 automatic 1 play off. But then some are saying the playoff spot will be granted to Africa should morroco beat Portugal. I don't know how true it is but I know for certain that 9 spots are automatic for Africa. It would be comical to see Spain being held to a draw in the group stage by Benin republic after exchanging 3000 passes with each other in 90 minutes.

Mind you, Amusan had been a force to reckon in world athletics before she set that record...She bad dominated Africa and was unlucky not to have won at the world stage before then....It wasn't an overnight success .

All these countries you tagged as footballing nations, what exactly have they achieved in comparison to us?

You aren't being straight forward with your argument, you know...
Please show me what is impressive about this please I’m begging you.

Explaining to me how i would be worshiping these starts. We’re the best in Africa but won a major trophy almost a decade ago 2013.

It’s like saying Manchester United is the best team in England because of its history clown.

We’re talking of today folks here would be talking about 94-98 golden generation like come on na please

What is there to be proud of?

We’ve never passed through the round of 16 not once
Hopefully we’ll do it on my lifetime but guy let’s be realistic na.

Follow-up report on Naija lads in action across Europe today: December 8

✅️17 y/o rising midfield sensation, Victor Ehuwa Eletu scores his first senior goal for AC Milan as his strike earned them a 3-2 win over Serie D side, FC Lumezzane. It was a Clinical finish and the march winner.

✅️Cyriel Dessers and David Okereke both got on the scoresheet in Cremonese's 6-0 friendly win over another Serie D side, Salsomaggiore.
Victor eletu is our new Mikel obi. The comparisons are obvious.
He will be part of our u20 next year and he will shine just like Mikel in 2005
Big clubs will start running after him and he will enter into a good Club next year
Lastly 2023 will be his year.
Wish him all the best

And yet you're hyping Morocco who haven't won anything in like 3 decades now, just because of a quarter final slot at the world cup .In your opinion, their quarter final achievement at the world cup automatically make them a better footballing nation than us?
That argument would have made a little sense, but a certain moniker here used Egypt as an example to support your argument where as Egypt last won a trophy 12 years ago, and have qualified for the world cup just threw times with zero wins cheesy ..You see how flawed your argument is...it has no clear bearing...

your disposition on this topic is becoming childish

The more you try so hard to make a point the more you expose your ignorance with regards to our footballing achievements both in Africa and in the world stage

When it comes to football in general both youth and men’s football you can’t count 5 top African teams that have achieved a lot on the global stage and in the continent without mentioning Nigeria

Stop pls, it’s becoming irritating

IMO, Nigeria has an administrative issue in every sector..We have the talent, but not the infrastructure to utilize these talents.. That's the problem..

Olodos. You, are you really intelligent? One of the marks of an intelligent and cultured person is the ability to engage in debate and do so with civility.

I was of the opinion that naija is not a footballing nation. Charlesemeka85 marshaled his argument ever so strongly that I was persuaded he's right and I am wrong.

I watch a lot of British and American TV and I marvel at their ability to engage in discourse while expressing dissenting opinions in the most respectful fashion. In Nigeria let one person say A, disagree with him and see him cuss your lineage.

Why are they playing so hard if it’s not for their personal stock and value ??

No sell your market first time go pass you by.

This Moroccan team has gotten more exposure than our 2018 super Eagles ever did.

When last did we talk about amrabat here ??

If we’re talking about him now imagine what other scouts are doing right now

So no fool yourself perform on the big stage and your stock will skyrocket.

No be to beat people 10-0 with nothing further to show for it.

And Bolt didn't put Jamaica on any map.. Jamaica have always been known to produce the world finest sprinters before Bolt entered the scene.. Sprint is literally the only sport they have won medals at the Olympics...

It's a no-brainer for me
Perhaps perhaps. Recall there was a rumor during the Algerian friendlies about JP asking Ndidi to play CB, though both parties deny the rumor. Also Rodgers has tried him there a couple of times for emergency purposes. Long story short, seems he may not want to play CB. D great Luther Matteus evolved into a CB in the twilight of his career, not saying Ndidi is nearing the end o. But players can evolve into other roles.
