That is a whopping N600,000,000 diverted monthly going by the N30,000 monthly stipend.
These people are heartlessly corrupt.
dbanj was Not a federal civil servant nor was he a political appointee, this begs the question "where are his collaborators", the people who had the power to actually manipulate the list? I am sensing dbanj being a fall guy who was not smart enough and is going to take all the blame for the crime of a powerful govt appointee.

Nigerian Anti-Corruption Agency, ICPC Discovers 20,000 More Ghost Names Infused Into N-Power Scheme Tagged “D’banj’s List”, Musician To Remain In Detention

This is why I don’t fancy celebrities who don’t kick against the current situation of Nigeria, because they’re somehow part of the government and also corrupt too so they won’t be affected or say anything, Dbanj was mute all throughout ENDSARS protest while other celebrities were part of the movement to see a new Nigeria, such a corrupt guy

In Nigeria, being famous and popular could only open doors to you but being powerful would make people bow to you. Dbanj is famous but ain't powerful, so could easily be arrested that he is found wanting diverting 600 million monthly into his pocket, a recurring phenomenon that's most common among the powerful while they get away with it at a snap of the fingers. Unfortunately, there's no level playing field of justice, if there was, a Dbanj would not be in detention while s certain Peter Obi would be freed for diverting 250million monthly in state's funds to his Lagos office when his official car that ferried the money was grounded by the police... Obi got away with the crime.
Peter Obi also approached the court to stop the EndSars tribunal from summoning him to appear before it and give an account of his role in the killings of Anambra youths that were killed under his Administration. Unfortunately, same culprit is being championed by some gullible youths who are being deceived on social media. Obi got away with the crime.
In essence, the crime of Dbanj is that while he's popular and famous, he isn't powerful, otherwise he would have been kissing his wife every other nights as Peter Obi.
You didn't even say Atiku ( who's clearly obvious)

Why is a structureless party such a threat to a party with so much structure

God deliver the mercies from the wicked top government officials and politicians. This revelation is a small one, when this government leaves power, God will expose them the more. Meanwhile, when are they going to investigate humanitarian affairs ministry who claimed they are using nearly one billion naira to daily to feed students in their homes during covid 19 pandemic. We are patiently waiting, God will catch them all.

Let's just say we use a minimum figure of 25,000 ghost names, that's like 750 million naira stolen monthly shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

If Dbanj is really involved he should go to jail. Enough of this nonsense.
why are Nigerians not asking the salient question of how he was able to do this? If he was not a civil servant nor a political appointee, how was he able to do this?

All what you wrote up there is a figment of your rotting imaginations. Tell us about your baba bulabaa that has cornered the entire wealth of a whole state for 23yrs now and no one has ever dared to audit the books of Lagos state to discover the massive sleaze that goes on a daily basis. After Lucifer your baba should be the next evil thing that God created. A very greedy old slob.
If you have anything on Obi go to the nearest EFCC office since you seem to know more than the subsequent governments that have replaced him and yet not a scratch has been found on him despite not being in good terms with them.

U need proper education to be reasonable. U lack sense and filled with hate and animosity.
U think if Obi truly diverted such funds that APC would have spared him nor EFCC?

May be by now,he would have been dragged around just for political purpose.

U don't know what it means to see a man who hasn't been tainted in his career and business altogether.

Stop comparing Obi with Dbanj rather compare Obi with ur father at home and see how ur father failed U.

Because if ur father didn't fail u how on earth would any sane man compare a good man to an alleged criminal even ur Tinubu has a tainted image and well known drugster who is unfit to hold any political office.

I am no supporter of Dbanj but you need to ask yourself some pertinent questions before castigating him.
* Is he a govt employee in the ministry concerned?
* In what capacity was he allowed un- fettered access to Npower list?
* The lot of the fictitious names, were their monthly payment going into a particular account relating to him?
* What supervisory negligence allowed the payments for several thousands of people into a particular source?
* Why is it just being discovered?
Some weeks back, I read here on nairaland that some Nigerian students were jailed because fraudulent monies passed through their account.
If truly those money entered or passed through his account. He will be charged to court

my answers to your questions is this. Is D'banj not aware of the fraud? Those officials in the ministry must have dealings with D'banj because is he the only celebrity around for the ministry workers to use his name?

D'banj list is a tag and doesn't necessarily means he is the mastermind.
That's why he was invited.
It might be a coded name to use in committing the crime.
Let's see how the investigation goes.

Until death sentence is enshrined as punishment for corruption, our politicians won't be sane.

China is one of the fastest growing economy because of this.
Nigerian politicians want to eat their own and that of 100 generations all at once. Sotay pictures and videos of decaying naira notes are circulating in the internet.
