Lols. Mind me not jare.

Modified:

I love perfumes. I'm never too broke to not be able to afford getting a bottle in worst case sscenarios.
I can't even begin to list the ones I've used in one breath but of all the ones I have used so far, one Bath and Body Works' body mist that someone gifted me sometimes ago still stands out for me (can't remember the name sadly) and I haven't come across any of their products here (kept the bottle for like two years sef).

I used and loved Marquis Blue ( a Nigerian product) but I think they stopped producing.

Without intending for it to be so, I don't have a permanent brand, for now.

Haven't heard about Marquis Blue before though.

I've seen people testify about the Bath and Body Works.

Thank you for the feedback.

Don't know if it's just me but I've never really liked Nivea products. I used their soap once or twice and just stopped. Deodorant and spray, not even once.

Hausa perfumes no dey try at all, seems the intention is to choke every odour out of their hiding places grin They tried so hard to imitate perfume brands from the UAE but then, those ones are not even as strong as HPs are.

Talking of fragrances with floral scents, you could try Oui moi. I'm using it together with Dinar and it's very nice.

Folake4u congratulations on being a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. May you excel in the legal profession.

I am just coming online to see your mention and to be honest, I don't have a particular choice for fragrance. I go with the wind. I am not consistent in using those things also for health reasons any fragrance that will choke me I cannot use it if it is too harsh because it can choke and affect me angry.

So, anyone, I use it's usually light and doesn't choke if your fragrance is too strong I cannot even be around you I am allergic to it, and they trigger my allergy hence why I am not into those things. I can have up to 5 light fragrances and don't even remember the names and it will take me months to finish them and I don't apply them all the time.
Infact Folake, I should be the last person you talk women's fashion with abeg grin na only Rexona and Nivea dey enter my head and they can be quite sensitive for me too most of these good fragrances are very sensitive for me and I am allergic to them.

Ehen... where were we?

The yassification of Nollywood, as someone rightly described it. grin

And I remember back in the days when we used to complain that they are not like Hollywood, but we do not mean that they should now start giving us a run-down, copy-paste version of Hollywood stuff.

Use the standards, etc., of Hollywood to tell real African stories that reflect our realities. Lobatan.

Mai dear. The major problem I have is Nollywood using this guy repeatedly. It is now a stale script.
Olumide Oworu is 27years old and not meant to be acting teen dramas over and over again.
I get irked seeing Nollywood stereotyping him with such teen roles. Now this!!!! angry

And then again, which secondary school in Nigeria has lockers as decent and Behind as they portrayed in the movie trailer. Even my own school sef nor get that kain lockers sef.

Oh. He's even a recurring role cast? undecided

I nor know am.

But that's the thing with Nollywood.

I guess actors like Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele and the likes were only able to break from that norm because they wrote, directed and produced most of their movies. Femi Adebayo.

If not ehn, they would have fitted them with one role for "life" in every of their movies.

Look at Timini. embarassed

And I know he has the versatility, but I feel that "bad boy" portrayal is really limiting him.

Oh.

I watched the "First Look" video they posted and I can already see so many holes, lmao. grin

Firstly, one babe's name was Carmen.

I know we absolutely bear English names here very well, but stillll.

CARMEN loun loun. Not Vanessa. Sarah. Ivy. Priscilla. Helen. Kate.

That would only make sense to me if there was some subsequent backstory that kinda situated or put that name in context.

Secondly, the guy ran into the class looking dishevelled. And he has not tied his tie.

Unless they later on showed a back-scene revealing how his morning got railroaded and derailed, there is absolutely no reason for why a student going to class, on the first day likely, should not be looking presentable and prepared, with pressed clothes.

And it doesn't seem like the "disorganised, dishevelled" look was meant to add to character development.

Feels like they just wanted him to interact with the purple-haired lady or something...

He just even started drawing her picture.

Looking at another girl.

Where's the chemistry if you wanted to use the *scene* of ''new boy in class (or town or anywhere) absent-mindedly sketching a girl he fancies?''

Ughhh.

The teacher too calling him "Mr. Scholarship."

. He's a recurring role cast oh. I don tire to dey see the guy for one particular role.
Fine, he was a great child actors but now can he move on into other character development.

Ahhh. How can you say you don't know Olumide. He was a cast in "The Johnsons" Season 1 of the series. He was also a child actor in the evergreen "Everyday people" series. I also watched him in Mtv Base "Shuga" series. I think his mum was Tiwa Savage in the series.

Nahhh. Funke Akindele has always been versatile. I don't think she was known for just one type of role in movies. Have you watched her in "I need to know" series? It's quite old though.

Lmaooo. Timini my old crush. undecided That guy would really go places but that bad boy stereotype just dey follow am waka, even inside real life when he was dating underage abi 18years old girls.
Na him sabi. undecided

Carmen ke? Them for kuku call her Caramel na. lipsrsealed Funny enough, these names you mentioned were/are quite popular among those rich kids then. Wetin concern us with Carmen? Na that time them go even call the name semen. lipsrsealed

There has to be a back story of why a student is looking dishevelled on the first day of school. In reality, first day of school whether rich or poor, every student tried to look neat and presentable.

Ehennn? I only watched Everyday People in all of these series. And I don't recall Olumide anymore. Maybe if I see an episode, he'll come back to me.

Nahhh. Funke Akindele has always been versatile. I don't think she was known for just one type of role in movies. Have you watched her in "I need to know" series? It's quite old though.
Yeah, I know she has always been versatile. I was only pointing out a probable reason for why she had space to be versatile.

No one will know how versatile other actors are too until they are casted for other roles.

I don't know that series.

There has to be a back story of why a student is looking dishevelled on the first day of school. In reality, first day of school whether rich or poor, every student tried to look neat and presentable.
Nothing infuriates me more than an hanging or unexplainable piece of detail in a movie or novel...or something that the viewers cannot understand by them being shown it.

I get that the plot has to move forward and things have to happen and the cast have to interact... but whatever you want to use to move a story forward must (double as) be organic.

If it is that he doesn't know how to knot a tie, then istg, they have to make it a CONSISTENT thing. Cause that's the only way that thing would make sense to me o. He must continue to show up to class with his tie off every morning because that is who he is. (Or if that morning was just a one-time thing, then why?)

Lemme ease off my judgments here like that, and not badmouth something I've not seen 100% if it. cheesy

Abeg abeg. angry
