I was wrong from the beginning... This world cup has actually turned out to be one of the best ever despite all the controversies surrounding it!

those controversies were from England and USA, they are salty because they lost hosting bid to Qatar

What we keep forgetting is that all these guys are human beings and not droids, as dem dey talk am, no be everyday be Christmas. England were very good tonite but as always you need more than exceptional playing and hardwork to win in life. Good game by the English and even without Benzema, clinical finishing by French.
Does Morocco stand a chance against France?

Thank you so much Sir GoodJoe.

Even elsewhere, after I mentioned Amunike and gave reasons why and even explained that he and the Current Morocco coach are kinda similar in playing style and tactical philosophy, they talked it down but I put them on the spot.

I said... okay, who then? Give me a feasible coaching solution not just anyone out of fantasy thoughts. It must be someone we can realistically go for.

Guess what... they just couldn't. Even the one named wasn't up to par.

I cited Amunike's current work in Zambia with Zanaco. None of them knew about it until I mentioned it first time. Only for some to do half baked research and still try to attack that point.

Most people will always oppose even without having a viable solution themselves.

but Zanaco have a substantive coach, although I’ve seen comments from fans saying Amunike is the brain behind the team but he doesn’t stay on the touch line on match days

Lol... I will be very honest with you. And no, it is not because Kane missed.

You won't believe it... But I felt that penalty was controversial and so I wasn't surprised it was missed afterwards. I knew the score will somehow stay at 2-1 after Giroud scored.

Your prediction never came to mind. I only quote it to have some fun.

I feel Benz missing out is a blessing for them, look at their performance at the last euros with Benz they struggled. At this point it’s anybody’s game but I think France will beat Morocco plus Morocco will likely have some key players missing due to injury

Honestly I would like Amuneke to be given the SE coaches job but I don't think Zanaco experience in the Zambian league is something special. Truth is he had unsuccessful stints in Sudan and Egypt but by all standards excelled in Tanzania.

That Moroccan team ehn can't just be written off, it also seems the stars have been aligning for them so far, I mean look at that Sarabia shot off the upright or Pepe's near miss tonight (that one has been blaming referee as if na referee miss free header). If the stars keep aligning for them, they can very well beat France and the crazy thing is that it won't even be a shocker again!!!!
With the way they usually play, Ziyech and Hakimi will shut down Mbappe but it's football anything can happen.

They all want it right grin grin and yes all of them have equal chances. At least 3 of the teams are very rugged we die here guys and am referring to Argentina, Morocco and Croatia but the French are super talented. Did you notice Messi put in some defensive shift against Netherlands?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:27pm On Dec 10, 2022
Yes, they have a coaching crew. Same technical crew led by Kelvin Kaindu that was in charge when they went on a run of 5 losses in 12 league games and were sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Then came Amunike. Appointed as Direct Technical Consultant to this Team’s coaching crew in September, began his job from the first week of October and since then... Zanaco has only lost once in 12 league games. Their latest result was a goalless draw vs 2nd placed side, Green Buffaloes.

Under Amunike's technical influence behind the scenes, Zanaco are being metamorphosed into a team that can grind out results and play some good/decent football.

He doesn't have to stay on the touchlines because he reviews and previews every game with Kaindu and the crew and obviously stays in touch live with the crew on the touchlines via wireless comms during each league game. So Kaindu on the touchlines is enough.

And it's good to see you have checked out comments fro yourself from fans. They aren't lying. He is indeed the reason Zanaco is reborn.

Is there a chance the journalists are not being objective? How come the U17 boys he coached were able to understand him, how come Tanzania team was.able to understand him? Siasia would have been good but Baba is now an expensive painting artwork. So if we have to go local and give them time and support, who else can we turn to at this point.

All of the ills you have mentioned are part and parcel in every Black African nation.

It'll take a huge miracle for a Sub Saharan team to achieve what Morrocco has. This is simply the bitter truth and its a pill that many are struggling to swallow.

I would disagree.

There is corruption in every nation on this planet in many forms.

However, back to Africa the depth of Corruption and abuse it is a question of degree, in Sub Saharan Africa. Look at Ghana, Rwanda, Zambia, there are exceptions but our own is fantastic.

My brother, Nigeria has the clout to attract proven winners. We're bloody fvcking Nigeria for crying out loud. Yes I agree that we've lost our claim as the Giants of Africa but we're no small nation.

What you'll say is that there's an incredible rot in our system, fueled by irredeemable corrupt individuals that only care for their pockets and won't let the 'proven winner' coach do his job.

The only reason someone like Harve Renard for example would reject the Super Eagles job is because of the obvious corruption within the NFF, coupled with their love for owing coaches their salaries but to say Nigeria doesn't have the clout to attract a 'proven winner' coach (perhaps Harve Renard) is false.
And what is Nigeria?

you have come again with your nonsense talks...

even though they were born outside Morocco they see themselves first as Moroccans not as their nation of birth and unlike you and other foreign born Nigerians that's always badmouthing and denigrating anything Nigeria... they do not badmouth and denigrate their country...

the major thing wrong with the SE is the GoalKeeper position... the other things wrong with the SE is player discipline and player selection..

the SE players don't drop deep to defend and even the strikers don't drop deep to the midfield and also drop to the defense...

Once Morocco is not in possession all their players drop deep to defend and that's something this current SE does not do and does not train itself to do...

You are the quintessential personification of the Nigerian problem.

I'm not sure if it's your education,or limited exposure to see things in blinded negative parochial view.

You are the ones that will support a view based on affiliation not substance, subjective over objective. You create a unit of measurement to appraise those whose views you favour in isolation.

Consider the bold to the educated illiterate and narrow minded, criticism is an attack not an opportunity to appraise accept and move forward.

The acceptance of FAILURE is the beginning of SUCCESS, the denial is the continuation of FAILURE.

You clearly lack understanding, exposure and take comfort in crass ignorance. Your diction betrays you .

Unfortunately perception is birthed from personal perspective not substance or factual evaluation. With regards to crass ignorance and prejudice you are incorrigible.

If I ask you to give me one instance of where I have denigrated my country and or presented misinformation and disinformation you will EVADE. But for the sake of this open discourse I challenge you now.

I doubt if you have travelled outside your limited socio political local village area. Maybe you you've been to Burkina Faso or Mali, that's even doubtful.

Your essentially tribalistic bigot with no sense of patriotism or what it actually means.

How many Nigerian origin national birthed outside Nigeria in the west do you actually know. Add to that footballers, probably none. But you have such a bad belle blanket opinion. Are you JEALOUS of them ❓thr rancourous bitter dislike is too much.

But if we look back too, I for one didn't see anything wrong with Eguavoen's selection then. The inexplicable "egunje" ones are invites Siasia used to give Okoronkwo, isaac Promise, Keshi too called Flavour and some others, I really respect Keshi but I won't shy away from the truth. Eguavoen has had 2 stints as Team Coach and if I recall correctly his invitations were always reasonable, sames as Shuaibu.

Honestly,I feel Keshi could have achieved more with the super eagles if he made the right players selection.. Some of his selections were quite questionable... Also he had the habit of allocating a specific number of slots in his squad list to home based players..Egwueke, Odunlami, Agbim and co... mostly, they played rubbish..
Sunday Mba and Gbholan Salami were the few that made some impact
